Came and order 3 drinks. Parking lot was busy that’s w/e my spouse managed a sonic for 5 years (left in 2021 so recent) I know they get busy during happy hour so there was about a 2 minute wait for the carhop to connect to our stall. 2 of the drinks were wrong but the person who took our order had actually corrected our medium strawberry Arnold Palmer before it the order was to come out to us and they just forgot to swap the wrong one out for the right one that was fine. My issue is that when our carhop a blonde named Reese came and gave me my route 44 strawberry sweet tea I could tell immediately there was no strawberries in it because I looked inside and told him so. He’s going to lie to me and say yes there is they’re blended in despite the receipt not even having strawberries listed for my drink. Well if they’re blended in shouldn’t I SEE them on top too?? I told him to wait while I stuck my straw in to mix my drink and take a sip that way if it’s missing the strawberries he can correct my order. He’s going to say “No we’re busy if your order is wrong push the button again so a carhop can come back out to assist” and immediately walk away AS IM CALLING OUT TO HIM that I just took a drink from the bottom of the cup and it’s got ZERO strawberries. He just kept walking anyways. So I had to press the button again to get assistance which took another 5 minutes and the carhop who corrected our Arnold Palmer came out to help and I just requested she put a cup of real strawberries in a mini cup and bring to me so I could pour it in myself. As I said my spouse managed a Sonic for years and when I told him about Reese’s customer service he said I should’ve asked for the manager because no matter how busy a Sonic is Reese should’ve been focusing on servicing and help ME his current customer and his rudeness actually caused further delays on getting their times down and stalls cleared. It shouldn’t have taken 20 minutes to get 3 basic drinks. If I was a secret shopper he would’ve failed. And don’t tell me to call that employee number, again my husband did this for a living I know the number is a dead end it’s just a way to look like you’re staying in top of complaints but it’s a waste of the customers time. Read moreEDIT: Strike 2 against this place, I will probably never go back. I had a text offering chili cheese coneys for $1.29 each, limit 5. When I ordered, I said I wanted 2 of the $1.29 chili cheese coneys. When my order came out, it was 2 burgers. I told the girl what I had ordered, she said she would go fix it. She even repeated 2 chili cheese coneys for $1.29 each. I waited and waited, finally a guy brings my coneys and said that will be $6.98. I told him I was charged wrong and he said he would be right back. Again, I waited and waited, finally got out of my car and went to ask for a manager. I explained the situation and she said she would personally take care of it, to go back to my car. More waiting and then the same guy brings my food and I hand him a $20, he said he would be right back with my change. Once again, I wait. While waiting for my change, I checked my coneys and they were cold. When he finally came back, I asked him to take his food and give me back my $20. This entire process took 30 of my day and was a 10 mile round trip. Unexceptable!
We place 2 orders for the same car. The first order came out and was paid for and then the wait began. Finally a car hop comes over and apologizes, saying that the second order went to the wrong car and they were remaking it. Again, we waited and waited.. Finally, I got tired of waiting and went up to the door and asked to speak to a manager. While I'm speaking to the manager, a car hop hands me a bag and says here's your order now.. It's not even very busy and I waited for someone to answer for 14 mins when 2 cars pulled next to me and got answered. One is getting there food already and I just finally got to order. I fully understand hiring is hard times right now. And the app isn't their control but this is unreal. A manager should have overrides and can report to corporate things are being complained about. They literally told me they know about the app issues but won't do a single thing for people. Um what?! We haven't been to sonic here in 7 months for this type of things that happen. It's always SOMETHING here. Set these kids up for success and not looking like a joke.
