This is the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. My family and I came here around 7pm on Saturday. It was dead inside the restaurant so we were assuming it wouldn't be much of a wait which would've been perfect considering we had a long drive back home. We waited nearly 20 minutes after getting seated before a server came over at that point we were ready to order our food along with the drinks. It took them 30 minutes after ordering before we got our drinks then another 15 minutes after that to get the side of bread. We were still waiting with impatient kids and after an hour and a half with still no food we didn't have time to wait anymore. When we went to the check out the server was trying to make excuses saying she was waiting for our food but it looked like it was sitting there for who knows how long. We asked to just pay for the drinks and bread because we needed to leave. We waited too long and it is unacceptable to have that type of service with only 3 other tables filled in the restaurant. The server went to the manager and the manager and her brought out a cook from the kitchen to look at the board and talking back and forth still ignoring us and not helping us with our request. Finally after minutes later the lady that came out (assuming she was the manager) rang us for our stuff. She charged us $24.25 for 3 adults sodas and 2 kid drinks, 1 side of bread, 1 side of biscuits and 1 side of banana bread. This isn't right to even pay considering the horrible service. The name of the server was Jacklyn. That (manager) lady didn't apologize or try to make things right. This needs to be fixed. We shouldn't have had to pay and the people on staff need a serious training on the behavior and customer service. I will be calling whoever I can go make sure this is corrected and it's known to everyone possible.
Don't go here if you don't want you family...
Read moreOkay..... so I use to live in Sandusky and then moved to Cleveland 13 years ago and We have continued to eat at Bob Evans on occasion when we come into town to visit family and friends. So we came into town recently for Mother’s Day and decided to take my mom and family to eat. We didn’t have to wait as long as I thought we would, seeing that we had a party of 6. We were seated and placed our drink order with the server, which I have to say was very nice, but seemed exhausted from having to work a 12 hour shift the day prior and then having to work on Mother’s Day... sigh :( She brings over the tray of drinks and immediately drops a glass of soda that goes all over the table, my father and my friend. And I’m not going to blame this on the server, the mason jar glasses are cool, but when they sweat, they are hard to hold and should probably have handles..... just a suggestion, that might be a brand standard which should be changed with corporate. Just saying! Then we get the food and it was cold, disgusting, missing items, and very disappointing to say the least. Not what we were normally use to. And some will say.... it was Mother’s Day, it was busy! But that should never be an excuse, especially in the food service industry. I work in the hospitality industry and I would seriously be embarrassed at what we were served. As I said, this had nothing to do with the server or the service we were provided, The manager Jay took care of us and made the situation at that moment right, and I greatly appreciate that, but I honestly have to say that if it had been any other day other than Mother’s Day, I might not feel as disappointed, but it will be a while before Bob Evans gets my business again. Especially when there are plenty of small businesses in Sandusky that have...
Read moreWe came in for morning breakfast it wasn’t busy by any means we spent a total of an hour and a half for breakfast food. Service was horrible, we waited about 10 mins just to get our waitress to ask us what we wanted to get started with, she started by asking what we wanted to eat but never even asked what we wanted for a drink. My father ordered a coffee but didn’t have anything to stir his sugar with because we were never given silverware or straws. After an hour of waiting just for our food, 2/4 of our meals were cold. Server had horrible customer service skills and acted like she didnt know how to go about the situation. She said “oh” and walked away when we told her our food was cold. After about 20 mins she decided to come back and ask US if we wanted to get the cold food taken off our bill, a good server should normally just take the cold food off the bill without asking. And said she will “try her best” to get the food taken off. Meanwhile in the section we were sitting at we noticed the 3 other tables around us all were also complaining to the same server about problems they had. All of the tables including us were never given silverware. one table even got their food and had to get up and walk to the hostess stand to get their own silverware. One table was mixing their coffee with a straw because they didn’t have any either. Table behind us was also saying they have been there over an hour and still haven’t received food yet. I also noticed our server demonstrating hand gestures to her manager or co worker about her section since something was wrong with all of...
