It somehow keeps getting worse. This is just a list of issues. I'm sorry there's nothing positive to say.
They have an associate "crew table." It's disgusting, with their trash and old food sitting out.
-Pants sagging. It irritates me when people wear a belt, AND their pants sagging. It's just illogical. But when they keep pulling their pants up, with the gloves they are using to cook food, is disgusting.
-The sofritas serving size keeps getting smaller and smaller. I literally watched them do a FULL scoop, and a little bit extra, for each one. Then it got to mine, the sofritas. Not even a FULL scoop, and then they shook the spoon to knock some out. Are we serious?
-Check out this work space. That's super clean, and no worries about a lactose intolerant person getting cheese or cream on there food.
I've been here in the morning, and they do a great job. But I rarely get here in the morning. The afternoon? 1600 and onwards, when I'm usually here? Disappointing.
Old review: I've since been three time...I'm not so much a fan.
First time, within 24 hours my credit card was used for fraudulent purchases. I hadn't used it for the past few weeks, and this individual had made some comments about my card. I wouldn't alledge or accuse them of stealing it, but the possibility comes to mind- could be a coincidence, of course. For the actual service, they always put way too much hot sauce on. I specifically tell them "I'm a little girl, if I could just have a tiny bit...." As well, the line was ridiculous for this place.
Round two... When I take my boys to the beach (pups, no children!), I like to stop here because I can sit on the patio and not leave them in the car. I don't think it's right, and I hate to even make them wait in there while I order...this experience was fine, but the people weren't very friendly this time.
Round three... The line was absurd. We reached all the way to the furthest door, and the line started wrapping over to the other entrance. My first guy was a quiet talker, and everyone else was nice, but seriously- JUST A LITTLE HOT SAUCE PEOPLE. My companion had a buy one get one free coupon, so my Sofritas was the free one. I did have an issue here...the corn was frozen solid. I brought it back in to tell them, and they said it was because it was so fresh. I'm not an idiot, so I asked how it is fresh when it's frozen solid. He explained it comes in fresh, and then goes into the fridge, which doesn't freeze- but they keep it at 30 degrees.
In their defense, they offered to make me a new one- but I feel bad since it was free, and for how long it takes, I wasn't going to. I also felt bad because it was fine the first 50-60% of it, then about half way through I bit into ice- a few more nibbles and I realized not only were my teeth cold, but my hand was getting cold holding it.
I want to say I will just go somewhere else, but this is the only place around that has a patio, the dietary options I need, and balances quicker food with decent quality. One thing to note- this place makes their food especially watery, every time I've traveled with it before, it soaks through the bag. Burrito, meet...
Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE EVER IN MY WHOLE LIFE: I was very surprised by my experience today at this particular location. First I was approached by a young man who said, " What's up dawgs?!" quite loudly. At first I thought this was just an attempt at friendly banter but then when I order tacos, he proceeded to tell me how "annoying" it was when people order them because they were more difficult. I then ordered carnitas, which were being filled by a young lady who looked at me and said, "How can you eat this stuff? It stinks so bad" I found it odd that employees would so negatively talk about their own companies products. I continued to ignore the oddness of the situation but the young man continued to attempt to banter with me and make jokes at me despite my very obvious discomfort. My brother then ordered a burrito from the young man who proceeded to attempt to show him how "fast" he could be (since he ordered a burrito and not tacos). In his attempts to work quickly he threw food everywhere and then put enough tomatoes on my brothers food to feed an army. When we got to our seats, my brother attempted to unwrap the burrito and it all began to fall apart. He politely asked if he could have it re-wrapped and, the same lady who told me the Carnitas stunk, promptly told him that, "we don't do that here" My brother had to plead with these people just to get edible food. On top of all of this, I had to wipe down the seats, and tables myself because the dining room looked as if a tornado had swept through. Food all over the tables, the floor, used plastic-wear everywhere and the drink station was atrocious, as if it hadn't been cleaned all day. I was very disappointed in my experience and genuinely felt that I wasted 25$ eating at a place where even the employees do not...
Read moreI’ve lived in Sandusky, Cleveland, Akron and Columbus and been to multiple chipotles in each city (minus Sandusky, although I did go to qdoba when it was around). I’ve been to chipotles in Michigan, South Carolina, etc etc. Point is I love chipotle, would eat it weekly in my college years, particularly this chipotle, whenever I would come home on winter and summer breaks. This chipotle used to be amazing with quick great service, large proportions, clean and they never ran out of anything. Tonight I went in there with my dad and come to see they are out of brown rice and guac and the worst part about that is the employees didn’t care in the slightest. They were barely saying anything to the people infront of me until they would ask for it and they weren’t making more. So clearly they didn’t have anymore in the store because they just started making more fajitas, AFTER my dad took the last of them. Now I could easily just blame the staff on hand here but let’s be honest this is a management problem. Someone in charge is only in this to use the chipotle name for profit instead of being a proper chipotle. That isn’t the only reason I think this, the proportions were also terrible half a scoop for everything even when I asked for extra hot salsa. So with employees just not caring, giving small proportions and 2 ingredients missing from my regular order you can imagine how disappointed I am at this chipotle. Plus reading other recent reviews on here it seems like I’m not the only one receiving bad service. If this chipotle wants to stick around they really need to have a change in ownership or management. Really sad to see this happen to one of my favorite...
