The lady on the speaker when ordering, sounded like we bothered her. A very small, simple order. Lol! She may have been a stressed trainee. Bless her heart. It's hard when your young and trying so hard. When we pulled to the window to pay, a very cheerful person was there. Could've been the same person or different. I don't really, know. Then we drove to the pick up window and this is what we were greeted with, "Here's your drink, here's your food" The use of tone in those working needs improvment. BUT....BUT....SO DOES CORPORATE!! I KNOW how you "time" your people from start to finish keeping then on the move like cattle at an inhumane pace!!! They're PEOPLE! YOU do their job for a week! You won't last 2 days! What looks good on paper CAN ruin business because, what's on paper, usually ISN'T viable in reality. A successful business is not one that operates with only numbers. That's only a FRACTION of corperate's job or success. You also need happy and appreciated people whom are staffing and running the place whom also are responsible for YOUR success. Watch and learn from Chick-fil-A. They're next door to your Culver's store in Sandusky, OH. Their lines are ENORMOUS! But the service is better as is the food in that corporate also "serves" and "appreciates" it's employees. So, customers would rather get into a long, LONG yet pretty quick double line of cars to be treated like customers matter because the workers feel like they matter. Undercover Boss. I wish there was a law that made corporate CEO's go do what they do in Undercover Boss. They OWE IT to ALL their employee departments. If you made it this far, it shows you do have a caring bone. For at least some of what I'm trying...
Read moreI have never eaten at a Culver’s before but the parking lot was slammed so we figured the food must be good. We decided to hit the drive-thru thinking it would be quicker…it was, but not by much.
So, I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger. It came out in such sad shape…pics at the bottom. All squished up and just looked sad. The paper surrounding it was oily and just a mess. I had to remove the paper and just wrap the flattened burger with a napkin. Definitely not off to a great start. Overall the flavor of the burger was good. It only had like 6 little mushrooms in it but I can see where it held promise if time/attention had been given to it.
Next up, sweet tea. Omg - I never in a million years thought I could drink a tea that would be sweeter than McDonald’s…but here it is! It was like taking a big gulp of simple sugar. I had to pour 1/4 of it out and mix some bottled water into it just to dilute it enough to drink. Someone needs to check that ratio of sugar to tea before they cause all their customers to become diabetics! Lol
The onion rings were great and served hot. The fries were cool with almost no salt on them. We tossed those out.
Well, there you have it. First experience at a Culver’s. I will say that for 2 full meals it was only $18 so the price is definitely a good value. Had the food been prepared a bit better, this would’ve been a home-run. That butter flavored bun is awesome! Seriously, who doesn’t love butter?!
I’ll probably give them a whirl again as we are traveling but maybe we will dine in so we can hopefully have a...
Read moreWe have eaten at Culver’s on multiple occasions with no issues or concerns. However, tonight we came for dinner and had one of the worst experiences. For starters, when we walked in, almost half the staff was eating and drinking at the counter. Secondly, I had ordered the 4 piece buffalo chicken tenders meal with a sweet tea and an order of cheese curds. Well, my meal came and I got no fries. I told the lady who brought our meal that I was missing fries. I told her that I had ordered the meal and a side of curds but the individual taking our order put curds instead of fries and charged me for both items. So, she came back to the table and told me that the manager said I would need to pay for fries (even though I was charged for them PLUS cheese curds). I said forget it, I should not be double paying for items I already paid for in a mistake on your end. After that, my sister who I was with had ordered a sandwich and before she could even take a bite she saw a piece of hair on her sandwich (that was not ours). She took it back up and they screamed “it’s coming back with a hair on it” (very unprofessional and embarrassing for them). The manager not one time came over but only ever sent staff who could do nothing about it to be their messenger. What a...
