Antojitos Mexicanos — Restaurant in Perris

I'm very picky when it comes to tacos. I've been searching all over the Moreno Valley/ Perris area for the best fish Taco. I can tell you without hesitation that Antonio's Mexicaos on Romona Expressway has the BEST fish tacos in the area. I've owned two restaurants in the past, and I'm very observant over cleanliness. This shop is clean! It's dated but it's very clean and well kept. I looked in their kitchen, and it's super clean. Their seating is super clean. Also the POS area was clean. The fish tacos were served fast and generously portioned, cooked properly, and tasted awesome. The cabbage was fresh, and the chilies were fresh and roasted. The price reflected the good quality of the food. The fish was understandably cooked from frozen, but tasted fresh. The shrimp cocktail was the third best I've ever tasted. Plenty large, fresh tasting shrimp, and we'll seasoned in a large portion. The service was awesome and the employees friendly. The staff followed proper food service procedures with a cashier and an expedition. Whom ever trained these girls did a great job. 4 scrimp tacos, 4 fish tacos, 1 shrimp cocktail, 2 pastor tacos.... $45.00 If you want good clean food served with a smile at a fair priced tacos in Perris, if you want to have the best fish tacos in the MV Perris area, visit this place. ...

I decided to drop in and give this place a try for the first time. I was welcomed warmly. I ordered chicken flautas (rolled taquitos where I'm from) with everything (lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sourcream). I paid $4.85 for two à la carte. As you can see, the to-go container was way too large. The minute I was handed the bag with my order, the container tilted because the salsas were heavier. My taquitos wound up getting tossed around, but I thought no biggie it should still taste good. Nope! The tacos had absolutely no flavor the chicken was very bland. The taquitos were soggy from the watered down sourcream. I thought maybe the lettuce was too wet, but nope. No where on the tacos was there a normal consistency of sourcream. Visited on Wednesday May 29, 2024 using the IE Community coupon book for May/June 2024 that is mailed by usps. When trying to use the Wednesday deal for $10.99 torta special that expires on 7/2/24 the employee said they don't honor any specials or coupons. So basically false advertising. You go there because they offered a special but when you get there they sorry we lied and you have to pay full price. I would've like to try the place out and eat there but with such a refusal to honor their own advertising we left to eat...
