The journey started with a KFC, and it turned out into a fiasco rapidly. Besides the fact that this location was what one would call a little off the chart in terms of location, it also announced that the internal management of the place was going through what is known in the industry: as a meltdown of some sort. People were arriving, drive up order line of cars outside was growing gradually, and my chances of securing their biggest box meal, for around $34, two whole chickens, 4 lg sides, and biscuits and whatever that thing is that calls itself butter. Not to be, was counter with anything but white meat. Without meriting further discussion, headed for the gps and found El Pollo Loco, which at the time it was the closest on the chicken department. Arrived in 8 minutes of this Saturday, hot night, and entered their establishment. I had suffered lost of faith with this franchise a long time ago, and it had been at least 6 years since. Ordered their biggest one, because I already knew that the famiglia must have been getting antsy waiting for the promised food. I also ordered an extra $10 for I forgot how much, around 8? pieces of dark meat. Order came with salsas (as much as I could pack in this tiny containers while order was prepared), and must say that this outfit was a lot more dynamic than the moribund KFC on a Saturday night when they should have brought their A game. El Pollo Loco was a frenzy of activity, but as opposed to we know who, they had a team that had reached the higher levels of coordinated effort among themselves. Customers started crowding the place, and I should say this here and now: food businesses are thriving in this nation, even the bad ones, for when people starts displacing on a hot weekend night it is a sight to behold. Food was great, bought also an extra rice, chicken was fresh and dry up like every single time I go to Juan Pollo, need to be carrying a half gallon of water for that old dried up chicken, but their potato salad is good. All side orders, pinto and black beans, cole slaw, and mexican rice? was very acceptable. Surprised and happy to have had a nice crazy chicken type meal, the whole crowd gave the meal a thumbs up. Total: around...
Read moreOrdered a 10 piece family dinner, 2 cheese quesadilla and a 3 carbon taco meal thru drive thru. Asked specifically for 6 house salsas. When they gave me the bag no salsa was given. I asked for my salsas and she gives me 2 only. I nicely asked for more and she said they were out. I said really you're out of house salsa. She then said its because we haven't packaged any but then changed her answer to no we are out. Another lady came looked annoyed I was still there and so I asked her you guys don't have any house salsa. She didn't know what to say. They were just lazy to get more salsa. They are rude and have horrible service. I never like to complain but I couldn't believe they lied and were lazy to do there job. Horrible experience. Called and manager said it's ben a long day and we haven't had time. So she confirmed they lied. I said wow I'm a paying customer and...
Read moreI was craving el pollo loco at 9:15pm on a sunday so i looked online to see if the local location in perris was still open and happily i saw it was open until 10 and drive thru until 11. To my suprise i got there at 9:35 and it was closed. So i looked at the door to see if it was just wrong advertisment online and it was the same hours as online...but doors locked and lights off and people cleaning. This is not only false advertisment but it shows lack of integrity in the work place, horrible management and lack of respect and consideration for customers. As much as i love el pollo loco i defintely will not be going back to a food location that does not care about their customers nor would i...
