Captain D's — Restaurant in Perry Township

Normally don't say negative things online. Today's visit I thought I might share. We arrived 15 minutes before they opened, just looking forward to some Captain Ds. We were the second order of the day. We ordered 3 kids meal 2 combo a soup and dessert. 30min later after a party of 4 and five other orders came up, we received our order. At around the 20 min I went to ask if there was any issues with our order? It was explained to me by person on front counter she can only hand out what comes from the kitchen. As we continued to wait we listened to front counter and kitchen complain about our order of $40. My wife and I between us have over fifty years in food. We were quite surprised to hear complaints about the money we spent. We were also surprised other guests in the dining room had to hear it as well. I appreciate that "fast food" is not going to draw the cream of the crop in the employee hiring pool. I respect that. With that being said, the service received on 5-16-19 was substandard even by that criteria. Used the drive through and had to wait at least 15 minutes on the vehicle ahead of us to get their order. When we finally got our order, the food was luke warm, and missing one side. Honestly, the order had two sides with it and they manage to forget 50 percent of it? Imagine cutting your hand off, you call the paramedics, they arrive, but forget to take you to the hospital. Kind of a big deal wouldn't you agree? I think some core coaching of the employees is in dire need here. Possibly a complete overhaul of the staff. I understand that food service is not life and death like paramedics, but if hold the employees to a similar standards the results...

This is the best Captain D's in the area as far as I'm concerned. Some of the best fish I've had in a while. Very clean restaurant. Service was a little slow but that's OK. I would gladly travel to this restaurant from Findlay for the experience. In a word....excellent.

Update.... Visited this restaurant today and it was quite the difference from the last visit. Service was slow and most of the food was cold. Employees were arguing and 1 walked off the job while I was there. This was about 1230. The trash was heaping full when I arrived and an employee did finally empty it. I can no longer give this restaurant a good rating. I will check back soon to see if these problems have...
