PLEASE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY
OH The Pour. The first time I ate here was when they first opened .. ( years ago & a different income) the host ( who still works here) observed my shoes in such a noticeable manner that I almost felt not good enough to be here. The obvious judgment & gauging of my income and likely low tip based on what I was wearing ( standard jeans, clean shoes , and a clearly not quality button up) almost made me walk out the door. To be honest though this place is always filled with many walks of life. From joggers to dresses you wouldn't be out of place so please read on and don't be discouraged by my first initial perception!
My wife convinced me to let it go. I will never forget the favor she had done me there. The dishes here will widen you pallette. With an absolute can't miss menu , and a kitchen that delivers 110% of the time, I recommend this place to anyone! I've ordered things that personally sounded weird or confusing to be delighted by a dish that opened my mind to new combinations!
The staff including the above mentioned is absolutely perfect. Regardless of his obvious observation his service was still absolutely impeccable.and, has been everytime since! Along with any other server/ host/ bar or kitchen staff!
This place will make for a great dress up night out, or yes a day ending dinner in work clothes when you want a dish that's simply above and beyond! The vibe is much more inviting then my initial perception! I just thought it funny to mention.
Menu is barely pricey, and honestly an excellent value compared to other local restaurants in the upper range when you consider the food quality, and the staffs overall professional friendly demeanor!
I do have the say the farm board " charcuterie" is way high priced with the tiny portion you get... But I haven't ordered it in years but still would take any other dish off the menu and be confident...
Read moreDate night last night, we were headed to the Thai place across the street but when we arrived they said they were closing early, turned off their open sign and said we could order to go and eat in our car. We opted to walk across the street and check out Pour Kitchen & Bar instead. We are SO GLAD we did! We were greeted immediately by a super kind host who told us “pick the table you want, but a word of caution, the windows can be drafty.” We opted to sit at a table with soft chairs and warm ambience along the long wall of tables. Our server, Madi, was super helpful especially considering my date was vegetarian and is gluten free. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, and a vegetarian sushi roll as appetizers, then I ordered the poke bowl over rice and she ordered the cauliflower steak. Literally, as she was about to take her first bite of the Brussels sprouts, the host reappeared at our table and said “Wait! Don’t eat that!” He had remembered she was vegetarian and wanted to know the sprouts were cooked in duck fat. That was so sweet of him to remember and to make that extra effort for us. I ate the Brussels sprouts and they were delicious! Our food arrived and the serving sizes were larger than either of us had expected and everything was perfect. Madi was super helpful and attentive. We had some friends in the area and they stopped by as we were finishing up and we all had another round of drinks. The dinner, the atmosphere, the staff all were exactly perfect. Thank you SO MUCH Pour Kitchen & Bar for the wonderful evening. Also, if you get a chance, order that gin and pear drink… it...
Read moreUnfortunately, we had a very poor interaction with the manager of this restaurant. We tried to extend the number of people in our reservation, and instead of simply telling us that they were unable to extend; they initially told us they could accommodate the request and then the manager called me back to let me know that I should not expect them to be able to extend the reservation “at the last-minute” and seemed to take great offense at the request. He could’ve simply just said, “unfortunately we are unable to extend the reservation” or “we are unable to accommodate that number this evening but we hope that you will try our restaurant again”, but he somehow framed it as we were inconveniencing them or it was our fault in making this request. It is a common request and we were unable to do it through any other way except calling when they opened. The lack of courtesy and professional-hospitality that was extended to us put the restaurant in a poor light. — I think it is very clear from the response below the level of hospitality one should expect at this restaurant. Calling ahead to ask if a restaurant can accommodate 5 additional guests is not rude, in fact it is courteous. The fact that we called, the request was originally granted, and then the owner called us back to tell us our request was inconsiderate and could not be accommodated demonstrates the obnoxious disposition this restaurant takes to its...
