Pleasant enough service, but wireless kept going in and out (mostly out, at least for me and two other customers). We (the three customers) kept asking about it individually, until we figured out we were all having the same problem, and the staff didn't tell us that they'd been having a recurring problem for about 20 minutes (asked several times, tried multiple networks, etc). All three customers had laptops etc--it should have been clear, even if we hadnt asked many times, that we were there for wifi as much if not more than coffee.
I hate posting negative reviews, especially when it's college kids on the line, and especially when they seem like basically nice kids. But this place was well-reviewed, and I picked it over other places based on those reviews, and I'll never go back. I asked them about the wifi as I ordered, and then wasted more time than I should have trying to figure it out after that, as did a couple of other people. Read moreCoffee is great here, hot and frappe options, and the service is amazing. Not a ton of food options, but the toasted bagel and cream cheese and fruit smoothie were freshly made and delicious. I saw fresh muffins but neither one of us ordered one. Was very quiet when we arrived about 10:30 am got a lot of work done, but from lunch hour on the place was hopping! Mostly a young crowd but some older ones like us were there, too. I highly recommend North Perk Coffee, Petoskey for amazing coffee, food, service, and great atmosphere to enjoy getting some work done while drinking your...
