I recently had the pleasure of dining at Himalayan Flavor, a delightful new Nepali restaurant located at 1615 Grand Ave Parkway #208, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to the heart of Nepal. The ambiance is warm and inviting, capturing the essence of Nepali culture beautifully.

I ordered the biryani and a refreshing mango lassi, and let me tell you—they were absolutely amazing! The biryani was rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and served with a generous portion that left me craving more. The mango lassi was the perfect complement, creamy and bursting with tropical goodness.

What truly made my experience special was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. It’s clear they take pride in their food and service, which adds to the overall wonderful experience.

Just ordered and everything was amazing. From what I can tell it's most of the items from "Tropical Curry", with some Himalayan additions. We were bummed when we noticed TC had closed, but decided to give it a shot due to the menu being similar.

We ordered are regular items and a few new ones just to give everything a fair shot. WOW! Our favorite place somehow got better. The Chana Masala is our go to and it was better than usual. We also tried the Chicken Bhuna, which was really good as well. The Vegetable Samosas were so good, felt like they were larger than they used to be and the filling was REALLY tasty. Raita and mint chutney are a must. The Chili Wings were also pretty good, think grilled wings with sautéed peppers. Naan was pretty good, not as oily as before, but sometimes a little oil is a good thing. I'm trying to figure out if they have something similar to the flaky roti that TC had.

All this is to say we can't wait to order again and try more things off...

I ordered the Thakali set and Mo:Mo, among other items, and each dish was freshly prepared, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The Thakali set was especially impressive — a perfect balance of flavors and textures that really showcased the richness of Nepali cuisine.

The service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the meal. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The restaurant was also very clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall positive impression.
