Marshall's Tavern - Pflugerville — Restaurant in Pflugerville

I came to this bar with my boyfriend who was in the band and some girl friends.. the bar doesn't offer a band tab, which we found out last minute, so I was ordering my boyfriend and keyboardist drinks on my tab and bringing them out while they played and we would figure it out later. I was waiting on a check to clear and my account only had 76$ in it. So I'm at my seat with my girls and it's really smokey in this place, there's people along the walls playing slots and were getting harassed by this guy that's clearly tweaked out at my seat so we go to take a shot and mentioned tweaker guy to the bartender. So anyway tab reaches $80 fairly quickly so I asked to review my tab when I noticed that I was being charged for the watermelon flavoring in my shot, so basically I ordered a watermelon flavored shot and I was charged 3X $5.31ish for the shots plus an additional $4.98ish for the watermelon mixer. As a previous bartender I know that was inappropriate so I asked the girl bartender who told me her name was Sam why I was charged for 4 shots instead of 3 and she says that she always charges for watermelon mixer which is bs. Oh and meanwhile while this is going on a family of fans that drove all the way from Houston to see the band was being double charged on the Mom's card and the bartender was so rude about it, they decided to leave and go to the bar next door. So I go back to my seat to figure out my bank situation and I couldn't transfer the venmo from the band so it would go through because I recently got a new card so I had to go back to the bar and get the card from them in order to set up the new info. I transfer the money over and go to order another beer and this is when Sam first got really rude with me making comments about "is my card actually going to run through this time" when I'm over here already stressing about this just trying to help out the band and I'm surrounded by his fans, my friends, etc. Just really out of line.. so my card works. We go back to our seat and that check soon clears in my account also so I have around $400 in there and I get a text from my bank telling me there has been suspicious activity on my card and when I logged in to check I was charged -$1, -$2.55, -$2.55, $.-4.25, $-4.25, -$79.95 all from Marshall's tavern! Soon my boyfriend finishes playing and he comes to the bar with me to figure things out/pay. They said that the band gets a 15% discount and so we needed to split the band drinks off on their own tab.. cool, then they proceed to take FOREVER figuring out how to split the check and tell me its difficult on Aloha which is literally the easiest pos system ever, anyway we get that figured out and order a couple more shots and they act like they didn't even hear me ordering and only brought one to my bf. They bring me a check to sign which was $14 and some change and the bartender proceeds to make another snarky comment about my card getting denied and by this time I'm fed up and my boyfriend is there all stressed out over it too. So I finally said you don't have to be such a b** about it and she yells at me "get out of my bar" and proceed to point to the door and tell me she's going to get security with her friend if I don't. At this point I'm shocked and so is everyone around me because they all knew what was going on, this guy next to me even defended me. So whatever we leave and join everyone next door while the band is still loading up their equipment where I met some locals who told me they don't go to that bar because of many issues with the same bartender. At the end of the night my card was frozen by my bank because of suspicious activity and the charges are still on my card "processing" days later. I should have only been charged $14 and some change after my boyfriend paid over $80 in cash for his tab and I was charged in total over $120 on my card. It's been...

I like Marshall's Tavern a lot, and I like it for many reasons.. I think what I fiind really unique, and intangible.. Is the vibe of the place everyone (the patrons) I mean always seems so friendly. I'm talking sincere friendly, now Marshall's is a neighborhood Bar. This place is like Cheers factored by 10... I'm a relative newcomer, to the area, and Marshall's Tavern. Everytime I've been there I've been invited to sit at someone's table, or join this group, this is a new experience for me this positive upbeat crowd. The laid back cool atmosphere, r vibe of the place is timeless. A professional staff that goes above, and beyond.. Very clean place, clean restrooms. Some pretty good to very good live music Thursday thru Saturday I think they have an open Mike nite on Wednesdays. It's just a really nice place to go and relax, unwind, listen to music. The house sound is pretty good.. Better than a lot of the super cool hip music venue's on 6th or Red River, South Lamar, or South Congress, that I regularly work r hang in.. They have pool tables, widescreen sports, and gambling machines.. I wouldn't know anything else, because I'm just not interested in those things.. I like...

for you people who like to complain about this particular venue I say boo hoo to you obviously you do not know a good place when you've been in it I have never had any problems any issues with this venue I've been coming here for many years and I have never had any issues or problems here this is one of the better venues that you will ever find in the city of Pflugerville awesome people bartenders are great although I would like to wish that they could get paid more I'm sure they don't get paid a whole lot for putting up with complainers however I rate this venue The Tavern bar a five-star place to go pool tables good music awesome live music I'm only feel bad for the bartenders that have to put up with the complainers that come in here and complain if you've been waiting for a beer that long then get your lazy ass up and go get one bartenders can't leave behind the bar cuz they're too busy oh by the way any place you go anywhere in this country you go if it's a bar remember it's not Burger King and you cant have your way all of the time again I rate this place a five star so there you have it I could go on and on but I got better things to do like go inside...
