I went around 10:45p.m. on 6/19/15. I ordered a 3 piece chicken strips with cream gravy (not the meal combo);a Whataburger w/extra lettuce and extra mustard and a Whataburger Jr with extra lettuce.
The person taking the order was speaking fast and matter of fact and got my order wrong. She repeated my order back and it sounded correct. But on her end she must have messed up while putting in the quantity. I ended up with an extra Whataburger somehow. I thought my bill of thirteen dollars was a little high but I didn't think much about it at the time. Wouldn't you know I get home to find I don't have a receipt. I'd of accepted that more if my food was delicious. But it wasn't and I'm a little disappointed to say the least.
I get my order at the window and drive home. I kept smelling onions even before I opened my bag. There wasn't any extra lettuce or extra mustard on the burgers, but there was an "ice cream scoop full" of chopped onions on it. There was so much onion on it, that it would have been comical if it wasn't so stupid. That didn't even pass the common sense test. The extra burger was the same way. Ok, so all I had to do was remove the onions and I'm back on track, but that still left me without my extra lettuce and mustard. I'm an onion eater so it wasn't that big of deal, but it was just stupid and didn't make sense to me. So I'm mad but moving on....
Chicken strips... The main reason I had the craving to go in the first place. But open the box and NO cream gravy And they taste a little nasty. That hot cream gravy is what I was really wanting to dip my strips in (lol - no jokes) . I'm already at home and don't want to go back out. Otherwise I'd pack all this crap back up and go back and complain. And trust me folks, I'm not one who usually complains. I thought about calling the manager of the store but then I thought.... for what? I'm not trying to get anything for free to compensate and I'm not going back out anyway. Then I thought of online reviewing (since I didn't get a receipt and can't do the survey).
The silver lining... they gave me four chicken strips instead of three. But then again if the cook doesn't now the difference between cut up onion and shredded lettuce how can we expect him(or her) to know...
Read moreI had a long day, so I needed and wanted to pick something up on the way home. I figured I'd pick up some Whataburger. I ordered through mobile thinking my order would be ready to just grab and go. 15-minute drive to this specific Whataburger (convenient for me; on the way home) Arrived and one of the managers happened to be up front completing an order. Gave him my name and informed him it was a mobile order. Old man didn't hear me. I repeated myself 3 times; still nothing. He proceeded to just tell one of the employees nearby to take care of "this" customer (that was kind of rude/unprofessional). The employee (yet another rude one) went toward the back and decided to go talk to another employee. Oh, wait! Another manager (female) is there. Maybe she can help? (nope!) Told her I was waiting for my order; gave her my info. She just said "oh he's getting it" and walked into her office. STILL WAITING! (ANNOYED) The same manager comes back; she sees me still waiting. Finally, that employee gets my order. He has it in his hands but proceeds to just chat it up with that second manager (female). Literally had to interrupt them and ask for my order. That rude employee has the audacity to ask me if I was in a rush. ( I held my tongue; grabbed my order, and walked away) Ohhhh, but wait!!!! Since my order wasn't ready, I still had to get my beverage. I wouldn't dare ask the "busy" employees or managers. I proceeded to the drink fountain only to find out the beverage I wanted was all out. OF COURSE!!! ( Calm down; just get something else). Second choice; EMPTY!!! Found one that wasn't empty and left. NEVER COMING BACK!! Luckily, the burger...
Read moreSlowest fast food on planet earth. I understand everything is “made fresh,” but do y’all wait until the customer is at the window? I have a 45 minute lunch period, and work less than a mile from this location. I went around 4:45, 5 cars ahead of me, didn’t figure there was any way I would be in line more than 10-15 minutes. Well...I was wrong. I paid but DID NOT get my food, they told me to pull ahead while they finished my order (2 burgers, fries, and onion rings) so they could get to other customers. I pulled ahead, waited, the girl came out and apologized, and said it would be a while longer. I had to leave to get back to work, so I left with no food in hand even though I had already paid... AND I WAS STILL LATE GETTING BACK TO WORK!!So at 4:45 in the afternoon...should I really need a full freakin hour to go pick up some “fast food???” I could have gone to ANY casual dine in restaurant in Austin (Chili’s, Cheddars, etc) and received my food so much quicker. I have already sworn off the Whataburger in Taylor because I seriously have waited more than an hour in the drive through before (never ever again), thought that maybe a high traffic area would be quicker...noooope. Now I have to go through the additional headache of disputing the charge on my credit card. Whataburger Corp should seriously seriously consider getting rid of their drive throughs, y’all should NOT be considered fast food. The food is damn good, but the wait is...
