...allegro just lost a long time, steady customer. over the last several months, they've screwed up my order almost every time. this last time, they added the extra bonus of blaming me for the screw up. about a week ago, i ordered a large extra cheese pizza and a 20 oz. coke, the pizza came to me with 1/3 of the cheese slid off of the pizza and congealed in the corner of the box, and they forgot my coke. when i called to complain, the young lady on the phone told me; "this happens sometimes when the pizza is hot" ...uh, what??? ...seriously??? ...that's the "explanation" you're going with? ...anyway, she offered to credit me for my next order, which i accepted. last night, i ordered a pizza and a sprite, when i asked if they had my credit on file, the man on the phone said; "yes, i see a credit for $10", which was odd, because my previous order total was $20 and change, the man's reply was "i don't know what to tell you, buddy, i can only see what is on the computer" ...unwilling to argue over $10, i placed the order ...2 hours later, i called an asked if my order was coming any time soon, he told me "we tried to deliver, but you never answer your phone, we call many times", which was a lie, my phone was sitting in front of me on the coffee table the entire time (after he said that, i even had my GF test call me just to be sure my ringer was on) ...the man on the phone became argumentative with me, insisting it was my fault my order did'nt get delivered, i cut him off and just asked them to bring my food ...another 40 minutes later, the driver shows up with the cold pizza, and a diet dr. pepper (i asked for a sprite) ...this is merely the most recent of screw ups, but i kept giving them chances because i've been going there since i was a teen, they do have decent food, they're close to the house, and up until recent years, the customer service has been good ...but i am done with allegro, they will get no more...

Customer service at this restaurant is absolutely terrible. After making a purchase from a cashier who clearly did not want to help yet another customer (insert eye roll here), the cashier handed me a plastic bag. I asked if it was possible to simply take my purchase without it and they said it was store "policy" to provide a bag. When I asked whether it would be possible to bring my own canvas bag in the future I was told that I could do whatever I wanted with the plastic bag after it was handed to me but that, NO, I could not refuse this item that was destined to become trash. So, I politely inquired whether it would be possible to contact management about changing their policy to be more friendly towards reusable bags. The cashier looked at me like I was an idiot and said that "the policy" was set in place by the owner. So, I asked whether or not there was a way to contact the owner, or manager, or anyone to let them know that not all customers want to be forced to walk out with plastic bags. Again that irritated glare and the line "I don't know. It's just the policy". Never once did the person say sorry. Never once did they direct me to some place where I could leave a sincere recommendation. I felt overwhelmingly disrespected and faced complete obliviousness from the staff.

If management is listening, PLEASE CHANGE YOUR PLASTIC BAG POLICY. I doubt that I will ever return here and hope that your restaurant is more accommodating...

I seen the most disgusting thing I ever seen In any restaurant Here This happened probably about 6 months ago I've been meaning to leave a review I never did That's how Stained my brain is from what I Saw That I'm still posting this review because I meant to. I was doing a delivery for doordash I was Standing there waiting for about 4 minutes for someone to come help me then the employees came in From out front From there smoke break Including the nighttime manager The night time manager asked me what did I need I told him the order I was getting Without washing his hands from smoking a cigarette he came and created the order that they forgot to make by Grabbing a pizza that was on the rack for display With his bare hands Grabbing cheese steak meat Out of the pot with his bare hands And sprinkling it and laying it across the pizza all with his bare hands after smoking his cigarette and not washing his hands I never went back to...

A friend from Philly said this was her go-to spot for cheesesteaks when she went home, so we thought it was worth a try. I thought it was... just okay, nothing to write home about. They put a good amount of steak on the sandwich, but it was too dry for me and lacked seasoning. I got the regular cheesesteak. We also ordered two of the green pepper cheesesteaks with hot and sweet peppers. The sweet peppers were a hit with my family. My son ordered the Texas burger, which looked really good. I didn't sample it, though. They also had pizza that you could buy whole or by the slice. Nice atmosphere, not too much noise. And, they have TV's on the wall so you could catch a game or something while you eat. I'm glad we got the Philadelphia cheesesteak experience, but we probably won't revisit this spot.

Customer service clearly sucks. The guy was instantly irritated that I wanted to place my order. Nobody welcomed me in. Or offered to take my order. I waited to order when I asked about slices I saw, he got mad I didn’t know what it was and went off to work as if he didn’t have time to wait. I’ve worked all over in customer service this is clearly something that made me report it! You guys need to hire people who know how to make people feel like ordering things and also to inform people with a warm welcome included to everyone this isn’t about just taking out money. I didn’t place an order and left but please know I’ll be back and I bring business to this place as well. I have a great following on social media and I’d recommend as a customer to clean this up with people who can help!
