Greek Lady — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Based on the reviews I decided to give the Greek Lady a try. I ordered a cheese steak, an order of baked lemon potatoes, and a piece of light side of the moon dessert.

The cheesesteak was ordered with onions and provolone cheese. The hoagie bun was easily 12 inches long and I would guess between 8 and 9 ounces of chopped steak. The flavor was pleasant with a nice aroma. It has a typical taste of Philly cheesesteak. I would've liked it with a little extra cheese though. It was quite large and I only ate half of it.

The baked lemon potatoes were very flavorful, and I could discern olive oil, lemon, oregano, Bay leaves and a little salt. It was very tasty and the amount was easily a large enough portion to feed two people.

The dessert was the Light Side of the Moon cake. It was two pieces of chocolate cake surrounding a cheesecake like filling however it was not overly sweet. The chocolate cake seem to have been in some type of cherry syrup perhaps. So it was moist and I enjoyed the flavor. The white icing was okay, and it came with whipped cream on the side. Now I believe it was actual whipped cream that was freshly made and not from a can, which surprised me, as I was not expecting that.

I asked the person who took my order what she thought of the dessert choice that I had made, but she had not tried it. I might suggest to the managers they allow their employees who are taking the orders to try many of their items so that they can give opinions when asked.

All in all it was an excellent meal, with large portions and very reasonable prices. Very good quality and the employees are friendly enough. The restaurant is clean, and they also have one of the new multi flavor Coca-Cola machines. It took about 8 minutes for the order to arrive which was reasonably fast. I plan on making a return trip. OMG!!!! This was a hidden gem 💎 ✨️ to me. I went in to check this place out before ordering here for the first time. A cohort of mine had a salad the day before and it looked amazing, they told me where they got it from and I had to check this place out. From the moment I walked in, I was amazed. I have never heard of, nor seen this place in all the year's I've worked in the area. Let's talk about this grilled chicken ceasar salad 🥗 😋 😍 👌🏾 🙌🏾. It spoke to my spirit and I was delightfully satisfied with my selection. This grilled chicken was piled high as the container, over a nice bed of fresh romaine lettuce. The grilled chicken was seasoned to perfection and the chicken was also not dry. This salad 🥗 is so huge that you can definitely share it with another person, or eat some now and save for later. I mean this was a good portion for the price. As I was paying for the salad, I looked over to my left and in the case I saw this cherry topped cheesecake and I immediately became excited 😊 🤗. To know me, you'll find that I love ❤️ 😍 cheesecake that has a Graham cracker crust. That being said, I had to order a slice, and omg..... that slice was thee absolute best 👌🏾. I took the first bite and tears begin to fill my eyes 🤣🤣🤣. Yes, I am that passionate about food, don't judge me 🤣🤣🤣🤣; and typically because I usually only eat cheesecake only once a year and that's for my birthday. So we'll say, I had my slice a week early this year. Altogether I spent 26.00, I really don't know how much each individual item costs, but this meal was absolutely worth the cost, in my opinion. Today I ordered from Greek Lady as many of my coworkers described their great experience with both the staff and the food. I wish I had taken time to read more recent reviews because it may be that the company is under different management now. I called and placed my order for two salads at 0935. I was told by the hostess that my order would be delivered in an hour's time. However not only did my order never arrive, but I also called repeatedly to check on the order by 1100 since our lunches begin at 1130. I was hung up on, I was placed on hold for 15m, and finally I spoke with a "manager" who claimed that I was "foolish for thinking that the order would be delivered before 1200" because his "cooks don't start work until 1100". I found his statement and tone not only repulsive, but also completely ludicrous. How can one open a business, take orders, but not have employees available to complete the service? Furthermore, the absolute gall with this establishment that they think they can lie, yell, and completely disregard customers is just appalling. I hope that the management reads their reviews because not only will I never order from here ever again, I am also most candidly describing my experience to everyone I meet.
