I came here with my friend and my 1 year old.
The person that brought me a high chair brought me a dirty high chair. That was a sign right there to leave but my friend wanted Apple bees and it was her b day weekend so I just wiped away the Mac and cheese and broccoli from the high chair.
Then the server that was there to take out orders smelled STRONGLY of cigarettes. VERY STRONGLY of cigarettes. So I kindly told her “I’m sorry you smell like cigarettes “ and requested a new server. She walked away VERY kindly with no attitude or anything to get a replacement.
Then I ordered the chocolate melt down... it came To the table and... looked AMAZING !!!!
I was ready to dive into it , went to grab my plate and turn it around to the cake and I hit a nice wet surprise under my plate . It was covered in avocado sauce and bbq sauce ... the plate was filthy like they just grabbed it out the sink and wiped only to top of the plate off...they served my cake and ice cream on a dirty food plate.
I could not believe it. Disgusting. The manager Marques Brooke (Ques) came over to me and said “they told me to come over is everything ok what happened?” I’m like ... they didn’t show you the filthy plate !?!
His excuse (with sass and an attitude!) was “I like to get straight to the table first “ ohhhh ... yes that makes perfectly good sense let me go straight to the customer that just had a bad experience instead of first finding out what the problem was .... .
He then came back with a 10$ gift card for my NEXT visit as if I’ll be coming back & made it seem like he was doing me a favor by removing the chocolate lava melt down from my bill ...I requested to speak to someone above him and he said he could give me his bosses bosses card with her number. I said ok. He came back with an attitude and I asked for his bosses name he first said I could call the store tomorrow to speak with her and I asked her name again and he wrote it down WITH AN ATTITUDE and said she will be in tomorrow. As he walked off an employee said something to him and his response was “I ain’t scared “ .... Yeah ... needless to say I’m highly disappointed in my experience and will not be returning to this...
Read moreI have ordered from here several times. The last time it was curbside and it wasn't until I got home that I realized my appetizers were missing and it was handled great by the person I spoke to. My visit today was not what I call good customer service and the food was not great. I ordered curbside to go again someone came out and I gave my name she then walked away to the car next to me. A few minutes later she comes back and asks for my name again and this time she writes it down. I waited awhile which I knew I would since I arrived 20 minutes early. Once my food was done a young man goes to the door and yells my name 2 times before we realize what he was doing. Never have I ever experienced anything like that. I provided my car info when my order was placed for what reason then? It was raining which when the order was placed it was not I had no idea. I for the most part use the apps provided to make things more convenient and easy on both parties. When I order this way curbside its brought to me I don't have to get out the car to do anything because everything has been done. The shocker for me was when he yells at me to go get the food from him at the door. I think he yelled because it was raining and he wanted me to hear him the first time. I wave at him again so he can see that its my order and he refused to bring me the food. I then go to get out the car before another associate says something to him. Im in the car with a friend so I get out like he asked and he starts to walk over to my car and hand the food to my friend who is in the car. When I get home to eat my pasta was disgusting it looked like it was microwaved several times. The Alfredo sauce was no where in the food and the chicken was cold. The other meal which was a steak also looked like it just sitting around to be warmed up.It was a complete waist. For me customer service is everything it will keep me coming even if my order was ruined because I know it would be taken care of but this time it was a let down and it will be a long time before I order from...
Read moreSo me and my sweetie decided to go to Applebee’s for lunch I always do like the atmosphere there for the most part it’s cozy, we decided to order the combo appetizer which includes wings, mozzarella sticks, quesadillas, and chips with artichoke spinach dip. We also ordered for an entrée full rack of ribs to split with a side of french fries. and a side of onion rings, the ribs came out before the appetizer, which is not that big of a deal even though it would’ve been nice to get the appetizer first, I asked about the appetizer, and then it arrived shortly after which kind of congested the table a little bit I split the entrée in half for my lady on to to separate plates so to get rid of the big plate that it sat on, there is no easy Way around the combo platter is just huge Applebee’s spinach and artichoke dip is always awesome as it was today, the fries were hot and good, onion rings were real. the wings were a little less desirable as they were boneless which I normally wouldn’t mind, but they were cold and seemed like they sat somewhere, and they just slathered some sauce on them. We did not eat them. We took them home. The ribs were flavored very well and they were tender, but it seemed like they may have been sitting somewhere also and a little dried out and lukewarm. When we receive them they weren’t that bad I just know that my lady and I enjoy ribs and making them, and we make killer ribs ourselves, which really fall off the bone, the service was fair. our server was very nice, but not as atentative as we hoped for, I can understand they may have been a little bit busy, but the place was half full, I cannot blame the server and will not blame a server ever. that boils down to management every time. we will always go back to Applebee’s. Their food is decent. The portions are decent and the atmosphere is always decent. it’s only once in a while thing for us. Happy dining to everyone else. This particular Applebee’s was located in Philadelphia. On Castor Avenue just off of Aramingo Avenue in the Port...
