U.S. Hotel Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Worst dining experience ever, this was my medium rare steak I was served it was gray, overcooked and tasted horrible, the salad we ordered had no dressing(asked for dressing it never came) I asked for the check with the untouched food sitting there and the waitress asked what was wrong I explained to her I handed her the check and money and we didn’t get an apology or try to rectify the errors at all she just walked away. I walked back in the restaurant and asked for my money back and was met with an attitude and made to feel like I was the problem after she spoke with the owner her attitude changed I got some of my money refunded and was told the owner will be reaching out but he never did that’s why I’m writing this review horrible way to run a business it’s a shame never returning at all and AND I asked for a Guinness got told they don’t have it then the waitress walks by with a dark stout usually you would ya know recommend something like that didn’t feel welcome at...

I dont write reviews but our food was so bad I feel like I have to. We went here 8/22/24 and ordered wings extra crispy and a burger done medium w truffle fries, I am not even exaggerating the wings were soooo over cooked the meat was more like jerky and burnt and the burger was practically raw except for the edges. Also the truffle fries that came out after our food were tossed in what I think was toasted sesame oil not truffle oil, not a huge offense on its own but the fact that literally everything we ordered came out so badly was super disappointing esp after spending almost $75 for this meal. The bar has such a cool vibe and the bartender is friendly but please please please find a cook that can actually cook. 🙏🏻 posting pics showing the burnt wings and the EDGE of the burger that is still super red. The US Hotel Bar & Grill has seemed to change hands, open, close, renovate, and adjust rather frequently since my time in Manayunk. That being said, I'm hopefully this latest iteration sticks!

They are still in somewhat of a soft opening mode. We came in a large group for dinner, drinks, and even enjoyed quizzo. They have a limited menu but a surprising number of specials. They have a good selection of cocktails and rumor has it if you ask nicely they also have a selection of good Irish Whiskey.

I gave them a test run by enjoying their chicken sandwich and an old fashioned. The chicken sandwich was a solid portion, lightly fried, and generally tasty. I'd get it again. I went with their special Elderflower old fashioned, and while I didn't get much of an elderflower taste, it was an enjoyable...
