Bleu Brook — Restaurant in Philadelphia

This was my 1st time there. Overall it is a nice place. My only "grip" if you will is that one of my GF's saw an ad/posting on social media re: all day brunch so she decided to join them and invite a few friends for a bday brunch. She has been there before and raved about the food, place atmosphere everything. Only to find out hours later after our arrival that the all day brunch turned into a day party and you needed rickets that was pre-sold to partake in the festivities. However the posting on social media never stated that the normal all brunch was canceled. Hmmmmm. One of the staff members proceed to say that we can order from the regular menu but couldn't partake in the "brunch" all day festivities.

To us, the problem was most of us was there since 11 am that morning. They did have complimentary coffee and pastries which were amazing, however the lack of communication to a group of ppl ages 50 + was unsettling. It would have made more dollars and sense to allow this group of apprx 20+ ppl to partake in the brunch festivities and we would have been out of the place way before the day party started (we older, we wanted to go home and relax) 😅opposed to ordering from the menu.. why because the highest price point on the menu was $20 and the brunch buffet was $35 per person so in essence the owners lost approximately $700 from our group alone not counting what was spent on drinks and tips.

Overall, the food, place and atmosphere was nice and I would considering going again. I just wish "our ppl" learn to have effective communication and better business marketing skills because the other folks would have counted the number of ppl and said cha-ching and made different arrangements.

But this place is really nice and parking was good because it's in a strip mall so that too was a plus.

DO NOT go to this establishment or try to do business with them. Dirty, ghetto, unorganized, poor management. This place has no type of organization and will take your money and in return not provided the services you paid for. I booked a party here and when I arrived, my section was not set up, nobody knew who I was even though they took my money a few hours prior to my arrival and services were not rendered for what I paid for. They lie about their menu items and bottle prices to get you in the door. They try to pressure you into buying more to get better service when they never provided what you paid for. The phone number on their website is not a working number and goes directly to voicemail where you can’t even leave a message. They fail to respond to you after fraudulently taking your money for services that haven’t been rendered. No toilet seats on the female bathroom toilets. Bathroom is filthy. Waitresses are horrible and the service gets zero stars. Nobody can provide a manger’s name and the place has Bamboozled written all over it. They’re supposed to have excellent food but would fail an OSHA and FDA inspection miserably. Food shouldn’t be served in an establishment where the bathroom isn’t functioning properly. I’ve contacted action 6 news because of such a horrible experience. I’ll never try to do business with these unprofessional people in such an uncouth establishment...

I wanted to give 5 stars on this review but with our experience there, I cannot. 😐Two friends and I went last Saturday for a "FISH FRY" event with 3 paid tickets. This new bar restaurant is a beautiful design. The security staff was respectful and professional. Seating was limited at 6pm so we waited for a bar stool. After sitting patiently for almost a half hour we ordered drinks from 1 of 4 bartenders. After another half hour we wanted to refill but our bartender was on smoke break with no one to take her area. We left the bar area deciding to get our 3 fish platters to go. After waiting almost 40 mins for them we were told all that was left was fish fried rice and chicken wings. The food server said "here hurry up and take this and go", as if we got major 🐟. The 1 rice pilaf platter we received had 1 chunk of fish the size of a fingernail, with a bone and the chicken flats were a burned along with burnt fries. Drink prices were good but that food was less than desirable and did not look like the pics on the website. Wish we could have enjoyed what...
