Ibis Lounge — Local services in Philadelphia

I initially gave this place rave reviews, based on the food. Well, the quality has gone down drastically, but more importantly, the customer service is horrendous. I ordered delivery and there was an issue with the driver, so my food was delivered to the wrong house. I called Ibis to try to fix the situation, the woman pretty much told me that it wasn't their problem, and was hostile while doing so.

My family and myself will never eat there again.

Whitney, thank you for your review. While we are grateful that you ordered from us, mistakes that 3rd party deliver drivers make are out of our control. We are responsible for getting the food made and ready for a timely pickup. Sorry you had to experience that from what ever service you used for delivery!

Directly speaking to consumers now, not the business. This type of clueless buck passing shouldn't be tolerated. Clueless, because the owner didn't address the main subject of my review...CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER MY LATE DELIVERY. And actually, an Uber Driver delivered it. He admitted his mistake and couldn't have been more apologetic. The restaurant, not so much. There are many other Caribbean options close to this one, where the business doesn't act like they're doing you a favor. Hope this...

I give it a 3 stars only because the people was nice. But I was not happy. I ordered a fried fish with rice and peas. When open the box food looks good (pic) below but when I tasted it everything was bland no taste 👅 not well seasoned at all. And by the way this is not my first time coming here I also ordered a chicken roti a while back I had the same problem and the roti was more like pita bread then the grainy real roti that I’m use too. Born and raised in Brooklyn I’m used to many different cultures and food and this don’t cut it. Been in Philadelphia for 15 years still can’t find a place that sells authentic good Trinidadian food. Season up right.(If anyone knows any let me know!probably with my luck I tried it it too. I guess I got go to NYC..( change the chef)!!! Or spice up the recipe ....

This place is Caribbean and all the best ways. Please note that when you get there the kitchen might be closed. The staff is not rude but they're also not super friendly. Anyone who has had a fantastic experience at a Caribbean eatery can tell you that most of the staff were absolutely rude to them. In fact, in some communities there is a direct correlation between the rudeness of the staff and the fantastic flavor of the food. Every time I go here when the kitchen is open I get a shrimp roti. It is fantastic. It is like chicken soup for the ravaged soul or homemade macaroni and cheese or homemade chicken pot pie on a winter's evening after a long day's work. It is fantastic.
