Crafty Soul — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I am addicted! What more is there to say? This food is so good that if it was located in the North East, I would probably be 20 lbs heavier. I usually get the fried fish since I dont like to fry things myself. They have a large variety of side dishes to choose from, that taste home-cooked and not out of a box. The desert options such as the banana cheese cake are impressive as most places only offer the regular strawberry or cherry option so it's great to have something else to choose from! The seafood salad is also another of my favorites however, the menu has so much to choose from that I am hardly done trying everything on the menu, which I plan on slowly but surely doing! I have never been told that they were "out of" anything that is supposed to be offered on the menu, which alot of places do. There is parking on the main street outside! I ordered Crafty's yesterday because I like their crabcakes. God gave me every red flag not to eat there after they said there were no crabcakes, greens, or yams. So I ordered a "whiting fried rice" which was not fried. The fish was on a bed of rice and cabbage🤔. Usually fish fried rice is fried fish chopped up in rice. But they put the fish on top of the rice. I also ordered the mac and cabbage. The mac was good, and the cabbage was okay, but the fish fried rice was absolutely horrible. In addition, around 2am, I woke up to violent vomiting and extreme stomach pain all night long and I'm still recovering. I'm not saying their food gave me food poisoning but it was the only food I had yesterday that came from some place different than what my family ate later that night. I have had food poisoning a few years ago and I don't wish it on my worst enemy. I wish them well, and hope they can take a look at their food handling and storage practices and make some changes or else someone is going to become...

I started going there because I delivered uberEats and food smelled good. Food always tasted good they can cook if just based on food 4.5 to 4.8 sometimes slightly salty. Customer Service is not strong at all. Worst during COVID-19.

I went there. They sent me outside to call on phone. I was only customer in store. They said 20 to 30 minutes it took over an hour and a half. I called and went back in and told people bringing orders to delivery people I'm outside waiting. I seen numerous delivery order people cancel their order because they take do long and confuse orders. Then next driver gets 2 to 3 orders. They get last try today noone is outside waiting. If its more than agreed upon time I'm leaving without paying. And i won't be back. I try to support neighborhood black business but customer service is as important as your actual craft.
