Delicious food, excellent service! As you can see in the photo, the penne alfredo has real garlic in the sauce, the mozzarella sticks are fried to a perfect crisp and the pizza had a nice crisp crust too! more than the delicious food, the owner Y, is a real mentch- he stayed open late to cook a meal for myself and four kids when we were ‘stranded’ at the philly airport overnight ( our connectingflight home was canceled). he made sure we had bagels for breakfast and sufficient paper goods to serve the food with. all this done with kindness and humor. thank you!

Me and my kids are visiting Philly for the first time so we were looking for Kosher options so we came to Espresso cafe for the first time and even though from the outside, it does not look like a very nice place I can tell you that the food is amazing. Better than any other kosher restaurants by far!!! Service is good and Yoram was great and took really great care of us. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So nice to come back to visit my hometown and enjoy a meal here. The portions are large! And they even take special requests like a double grilled cheese. The Greek salad could feed 5. The eggplant parm hit the spot. We loved the entertaining staff too! Good banter and good fun. 👍❤️👍

Went into this restaurant with high expectations and even higher recommendations. Easily the worst culinary experience ever. First, the waiter stood dumbstruck when we asked for coffee. He blankly said.." I do not know how to make coffee." We actually thought he was kidding, but his slackjawed repetition of the same phrase indicated that he indeed did now know how to make the mysterious beverage know as coffee. Cheese blintzes ordered...NO CHEESE, the menu says that is comes with strawberries.... No strawberries in sight. When the OWNER was asked, he said No fresh strawberries,,, that was it. He then asked if we wanted syrup on it..... We asked for a banana instead, he yelled, Do you want me to cut it for you?

Gets way way better. The fallafel plate arrived with a few of the menu advertised ingredients missing. I will admit it was tasty even though the portions were so small it was a joke, for the bargain price of $10!!!!! We had to ask twice for water with lukewarm water showed up eventually.... Ice is apparently an endangered species in this restaurant. When I went to pay for said ridiculous lunch, I was asked by the owner what did I had. I listed the items along with the missing cheese and bits and pieces missing from my allaged falaffel platter. His response???? $28.50, exactly what the menued price was.. No apology, no nothing... No tip. Beware people, this guy clearly does not care at all about repeat business. Perhaps another line of business should be considered by the owner for...

Yesterday was our first time visiting Philly. I actually had no idea that there is a Jewish community and kosher food. After doing some research, we stumbled across this place, and boy am I happy we did. It might not look like a high class michelin star restaurant when you walk in, but the food and service really speaks for itself. Every single thing we ordered was DELICIOUS. Everything was so fresh and was made on the spot, not premade. This place really emphasized the quote, "don't judge a book by its cover." I've been to hundreds of fancy restaurants in New york, miami, and other vacation spots, and a lot of them are just hype but nothing special. This place was the complete opposite. Yoram took care of us so well and accommodated to all our dietary requests. He was so friendly and really went out of his way to make us have a good experience. Just as a side note, I'm still dreaming about those cheese blintzes. I'm actually gluten free, but tried it anyways and it's still on my mind. It was soooo yum. Yoram, if you can please ship us some more of those blintzes, it would be so appreciated! Just kidding. The next time we go to Philly, we know exactly where to go. I don't think there's a single menu item that isn't delicious, no exaggeration. We most definitely will be back in the near future! Thank you Yoram from Yonatan...

We just left this place and we are speechless!!! The food in this place was next level. Everything was fresh, delicious and in HUGE portions. We took a pizza pie, a falafel platter, fries and Caesar salad. Everything was HEAVENS!l and plated nicely. The service was out of this world! Yaron served us with the utmost love and patience, offering us whatever we may need and Making sure the kids were comfortable and the food was good. Yaron was so friendly with the kids creating a calm atmosphere. The kids felt so comfortable and extremely calm. Yaron even offered the kids a sweet treat which topped off the evening! The kids enjoyed the sweets on the way home, begging to return again! We definitely recommend this place! Definitely deserves...
