One things for sure and two things for certain this is the first time ever leaving a review on Google. So that must mean that the food was that bad! I wasn’t going to say anything but I spent almost $30 for food I could not eat! Myself I am Haitian and I’ve tried many different foods before including west African food. My uncle’s wife is West African. I’m leaving this review not to bash you guys but in order for you guys to do better as a business. I first walked in and the vibe alone made me feel unwanted as if I was distracting them from something more important on the tv than taking my order. It was no emotion, no smiles, no energy or anything of that sort. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I still ordered my food. Food was done in 15 minutes exact! I went back to work, open my food and it looked beautiful but the smell was off… and I mean off! I took a few bites and realized the okra soup was sour! I have been cooking my entire life, I come from a family of cooks, AND I know when food is sour and spoiled and reheated in a microwave. That is completely unacceptable! I’m not going to lie this is one of the worst west African food places I’ve ever eaten from! Even the sweet plantain was hard! The plantain was not ripe! I can make better plantain then you guys! Come on! And there’s no need to argue with me because I see that you guys go back and forth with some people in the reviews because You should be lucky that I’m not posting this on my Instagram and I’m posting this on Google instead. I have a very very high following and I wouldn’t even want to do that to your business. Plus I’m not the one to argue with. The service was good but the atmosphere was a little low quality in a sketchy neighborhood. But if I can give the food negative stars I would! Let’s start with the food!

BECAUSE THIS FOOD WAS DISGUSTING THE MEAT IN THE EGUSI WAS HARD AND UNDERCOOKED, THE FOOD WAS RANK, OLD & SMELLED HORRIBLY! I HAD TO THROW EVERYTHING OUT! IT WAS THAT BAD AND I DON'T WASTE FOOD! I'VE NEVER SMELLED FOOD LIKE THAT!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! LOW QUALITY AND RUSHED FOOD! THE PLANTAINS TASTED REFRIED, AND WAS OLD (like how can you mess plantains! And you can tell from the pic). THE RICE WAS HARD AND BURNED (you can see in the brown grains of rice). I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY HAD GOOD REVIEWS. WHO IS PAYING THESE PEOPLE. BECAUSE I GOT SICK AFTER ONE BITE! AND I GOT AN IRON STOMACH SO THAT SAYS ALOT!! $50 DOWN THE DRAIN! I WILL NEVER RETURN!

At the end of the day I found this place on instagram. Maybe it was good then but it’s definitely not good now! This place has changed location based upon instagram. And with a change of location there’s a high chance of change of quality of food. The spot was empty which was another red flag! All good places have a full crowd! Eat at your own risk! But as for me, I won’t give this place another try! At the end of the day, the food was old and prepared questionable. I have taste buds and this food was overrated and overpriced!

First time going to this place and will definitely be my last. My husband and I got potato green's. The flavor and texture was off. I had one small piece of chicken and one hard piece of turkey. I used the sauce they put on the side to give it some spice, but all it did was make it salty. I ended up throwing it away because I was so dissatisfied with it. The ONLY reason this place gets business is because there's no other west african places around the area. If you want TRUE African food do NOT go here. On top of disgusting food, when my husband and I first walked in the guy behind the counter was too busy having a conversation on his phone to talk to us. The menu is false advertisement because I asked about the egusi soup having cow skin as stated on the menu and he said they don't serve that. Only chicken and turkey. Why have it as a ingredient if you don't actually have it in the dish. While waiting for our food a customer called and said they were missing a dish that got delivered from UberEATS. He told the customer that it was impossible because they double check the orders and there was nothing they could do.
