Good evening Google Family. I visited this location of IHOP for the first time today. I didn't even know there was an IHOP in South Philly. AJ suggested that we meet here. . AJ and I met in the parking lot and I gave him his birthday gifts in the car. He was not expecting it. HE was pleasantly surprised!!! He loved the Buff City Soap, especially the smell. I chose the Commando scent for him. He loved it!!!! Then I gave him his birthday cards in the diner. Miss LeeLee was our server and she was very efficient and nice. I ordered the same thing that I ordered at Bill's on Thursday. Grits, home fries and turkey bacon. Everything was so very good. AJ ordered buttermilk pancakes. AJ gobbled down his food so fast, before me. I thought I ate fast. AJ has me beat!!! AJ enjoyed his food as well. AJ loved his birthda cards. WE both enjoyed the fellowship and the food. The IHOP in Upper Darby has nothing on this one!!!! I will never visit that location again in Upper Darby. Even our server was talking about it when I brought it up, She didn't like it either. They offered her a job there and she said no. I don't blame her. I also ordered bottomless decaf coffee and orange juice. AJ just wanted water. We will definitely return here at some point in our lives. A great fellowship and eating experience. Good night Google Family, Workout, be healthy, fit...
Read moreI've had a lot of bad experiences at this location. I order the same thing almost every time, and 50% of the time something is off. They take a long time to bring out your food, even if nobody is in the restaurant.
"What are the employees doing back there?" You may ask. If you sit close enough to the kitchen, you will find your answer. All the employees do is flirt with each other and/or bullshit while they're at work.
Critical items like salt and pepper are rarely on the table.
Don't expect most of the food to be fresh. The coffee tastes like it has been sitting out for at least a couple of hours. My eggs are usually cooked wrong. I order over medium eggs, and they usually make them over light or over hard. I once had a server argue with me over this. She should have just remade my eggs. They weren't cooked right at all.
The bacon they give you is usually two tiny strips that have been sitting out for God knows how long. There's no quality control whatsoever.
Once in a blue moon, you will get a nice server who will make your food right. When this happens, I tip my server well over 20%, because I feel so bad someone who isn't lazy has to do more work than 99% of their coworkers.
The one in Turnersville, NJ is a lot better, and so is the...
Read moreFrom my experience on June 13th - I don't believe in giving servers a hard time however; Marie was the worst server I've ever encountered and prompted me to both speak to the manager and leave this warning. Initially, she only seemed impatient and rushed but by the end of our experience, that changed to poor service via an incredibly nasty attitude. It began with me asking to swap my refill option with another after being served a flat soda. She never offered us refills throughout the time we were there so before leaving we requested some. I asked her for the swap to which she replied that I'd be charged extra. I asked her was there a reason she didn't mention that much earlier. She replied, "I figured you should have already known that". That was #1 a trash response but also incorrect per their policy. So I asked to speak to her manager. She rushes off, changes the receipt to drop the charge, then tells me "I already talked to my manager but you can still talk to him if you want." I informed her, "It's not about the money; it's about your disposition." She scoffed and rushed off again like a 3-year-old. When speaking to the manager, he pretty much said...
