I am happy to give this restaurant a try despite all the confusing ratings. This is rhe only VN place in town specializing in snacks/drink food - snails and hotpot. Food: VERY GOOD. I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered and would have loved to try more. My favorite was the mango salad with conch, crab fried rice and snails in coconut sauce. Service: GOOD. Drinks: could be improved. But would be fine if sticking to beers and wine! Parking is available and is a plus. I would definitely come back!

Ordered the garlic seafood and sausage noodles (after another review called them “amazing”) on Uber Eats. Took about 1hr to arrive and was really subpar. Stodgy and bland dish that had nothing to it. No flavours and wet mushy noodles. There were 2 prawns in it, and a few tiny bits of sausage and a little broccoli. Bad value for money at about $20 delivered.

Most horrible experience ever. Would give this place zero stars if I could. Me and my mother heard of how good the food is through Facebook, but we didn't even get that far into the restaurant. We came in the door and was greeted by what I believe is the manager. He had a "'79" tattoo on the left side of his neck. We were told there would be a 30-45min wait and that we could be put on a list to hold our spot. The manager said he was going to get the list and didn't return. So the hostess gave us a book to write our names, phone number, and party size down. We had arrived at 5:30pm and it was 6:30pm when I decided to say something to the manager who had come to the hostess stand. I asked him how longer was the wait since when we came in he said 30-45min and it was now going on an hour. He stated that he didn't know when we would be seated because he had 2 parties of 10 and 12 people who had reservations. When we asked him why he didn't tell us that and why did he tell us the wait was only going to be around 30-45min when we first came in. He said he didn't know they had reservations. Also, he said that we had to excuse their mistake because they had only been open for three months and were busy. When we told him we would be giving him a bad review he turned to the person behind us and said "are you going to give me a bad review too?" During our waiting time there was a couple who came in who said they had a reservation. They were seated and sat at the table for about 20min and were never even given menus or seen a server. They got up and told their story to the waiting parties...

I went here to see a buddy's band (10$ cover charge per person) and I was incredibly disappointed in the staff behind the bar, their prices, attitude and 18% gratuity on ALL CHECKS. I don't mind gratuity for dinner or a group at all and will always tip but when I got there I walked up to the bar and ordered a yuengling bottle and a bay breeze, it was 20. I asked how much the bottle was, they said 6, ok fine, I asked how much the small ball jar glass sized bay breeze was, they said 10, alright that's a little high but I'm in Philly, so I wanted the 4$ back and the old couple behind the bar (probably owners, also I would like to add they were not sober humans, not sure what they were on but it was something) brought me my receipt which had the 18% gratuity on it making the bill pennies short of 20$. I'm sorry but that is just ridiculous to add on gratuity to drinks at the bar. That was my immediate decision NOT to spend another dime in that place and I am glad I didn't. Once seated, we noticed the place was absolutely packed and they had one server, maybe 2 but they were young kids. Everyone around us was complaining about service and their bills. Several tables had issues with being overcharged on top of the gratuity already added ( mind you for groups of 2-4 people I'm referring to). The owners here are money hungry and they obviously do not care. The place is great to see a band but don't spend any $ on...

Whether you want grab a quick bite for lunch, a nice dinner with the family, or a night out for drinks and music, Shaking Crab has got you covered!

Fried catfish po'boys, spicy calamari, and lobster cheesy fries are solid options from the fryer menu. Generous portions, so you can't go wrong with these.

If you want to go all the way and do the full 'Shaking Experience', get the popular Jumbo Shaker (snow crab legs and shrimp) with Shaking Sauce and add in some corn. They'll hook you up with the bib, gloves, and all the tools you need to enjoy the full Cajun experience. Don't be surprised if you end up ordering a second bag!

If the food wasn't enough for you, Thursday to Saturday, they have full hookah service and a live DJ in their bar area. Starting around 10PM, the place gets packed, drinks are flowing, and the music is bumping. They're starting to host special events too and just had Dave East come through last month.

Lastly, if you want to do a private event, they have a dedicated space for that as well. Just talk to the staff to get your event on the calendar before...
