Restaurant Review: A Food Safety Nightmare with a Side of Awful Service
I wish I had something good to say about this place, but unfortunately, my experience was a disaster from start to finish. Let’s start with the most concerning issue: food safety.
Upon walking in, I immediately noticed a strange smell—something between stale grease and spoiled meat. The floors were sticky, the tables still had crumbs from previous diners, and the staff seemed completely indifferent to basic hygiene. I should have walked out right then, but against my better judgment, I stayed. Big mistake.
I ordered a simple dish, thinking it would be hard to mess up. What arrived was an insult to food itself. The meat was cold in the center, meaning it hadn’t been cooked properly, and the vegetables looked days (if not weeks) old. Worse, my companion found a hair in their meal, and when we pointed it out, the server barely acknowledged it—no apology, no replacement, just a shrug.
Speaking of service, it was atrocious. The staff acted like we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. Orders took forever to arrive, and when they finally did, everything was wrong. Drinks? Warm. Utensils? Dirty. When we asked for replacements, the server rolled their eyes and mumbled something under their breath.
The real kicker? I ended up sick just hours after eating here. I can’t say for sure it was food poisoning, but considering the questionable cleanliness, I wouldn’t be surprised.
If you value your stomach (and your patience), do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. You’d be better off eating a gas station sandwich—at least you’d have a fighting chance of it...
Read moreThis was first time eating from a Middle East/]Uzbekistan's restaurant. My family was greeted at the door. The same person who greeted us was our server, his name was Alex and he provided the best service and gave the best recommendations. I'm an indecisive person when it comes to choosing at a restaurant, especially when it's my first time there. I rely on descriptions and ingredients of the menu and recommendations of my server, thank goodness for Alex. My boyfriend asked for the fresh bread which was warm and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside...so yummy it went perfect with our soup. We decided in Shurpa and Lag'man soup and I also chose the Fresh Salad to go with my meats/kebabs. We chose a variety of Kebabs... 5 different meats we had Molotiy Lyula (ground beef), Lamb, Chicken, Liver, and Shrimp all cooked perfectly. I loved the smoky, slightly charred, taste on each one, so authentic. For our entrée we all went with the Plov... delicious!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone for many occasions. Please check it out and see...
Read moreAmazing Halal Uzbek Cuisine! We had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic halal Uzbek restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! The moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for an authentic dining experience. The menu offers a great variety of traditional Uzbek dishes, and everything we ordered was delicious. What I appreciated the most is that all the dishes are halal, which made it even more special for those looking for authentic Central Asian cuisine that meets dietary requirements. The service was excellent and quick to bring out the dishes. It’s clear they take pride in the quality of their food and the experience they provide. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Uzbek food or wants to try...
