Kumo has been my go-to sushi takeout place in University City/West Philly since I discovered it. It’s a clean, family-owned spot with fresh sushi, a big menu, and a 3 rolls for $20 deal. The sushi is always plated beautifully. They have an extensive variety of menu options, great for both lunch and dinner. The non-sushi options are excellent: I’ve had the udon noodles, gyoza, spring rolls, scallion pancakes, and seaweed salad, all of which are flavorful and delicious. Kumo Sushi is a fantastic spot for sushi lovers! I had the Salmon Avocado Roll, Eel Avocado Roll, and Miso Soup, and everything was absolutely delicious. The salmon was so fresh and sweet, and the eel was perfectly flavorful. The miso soup was warm and comforting.

The restaurant before is small but cozy, and the staff is always so nice and welcoming. I’ve also ordered through Uber Eats, and they packed everything really well.

If you love sushi or want to try it for the first time, Kumo Sushi is a must-visit! The prices are great, and the food never disappoints....
