McDonald's — Restaurant in Philadelphia

The city of Philadelphia needs to shut this McDonald's down.

I ordered a single breakfast sandwhich, waited 15 minutes until a worker gives me a hostile side-eye "WHAT CHU WAITING FO?!" I tell her the order number. She eyes me suspiciously, and aggressively finds the sandwhich and puts it on the counter without a word. It looked like it had been sitting in a warmer for an hour. Not a "thanks," or a "sorry it took so long," Just 100% pure, silent, contempt. The trashy, ghetto attitude that pervades from this McDonalds is an embarrassment to Philadelphia.

Interacting with these workers is tedious at best. Quick to anger and impatient by default. The sense of entitlement exudes from their pores. You want to do what I do? Clean up the houses of hoarders, the deceased, sewage clean ups, and in the hot sun or rainy streets all day?

These McDonalds workers do not have a hard job. They make $15 (starting) and work inside, with free wifi and food. Most Philadelphians have to work harder than this, for less pay, and still have the fortitude to be civil and treat each other with respect.

On Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 9:10pm, I walked into the Men's bathroom. I saw a WORKER in the bathroom (male, 6ft, obese, with long braids and a doo-rag), just as you open the door, with his pants and underwear down. His genitals in his hands and using the hand drier. I did a 180 and just walked away. However, what if a little kid walked in and saw that? And I bet, 100%, that man simply went back to his station and continued to handle food.

This McDonald's truly made me fearful of food poisoning. First, they hand my bag of food through the drive through, and I notice zero heat radiating from the bag. I thought maybe it was because my cold items were at the bottom of the bag. Wrong.

When I go to eat my food, I realize every single item is room temperature - about 70 degrees. My burger, my chicken nuggets, and my fries. The food was so cold that I was actually too afraid to eat it, because I didn't want to get sick. Clearly, it was sitting out for a very long time at room temperature.

If that wasn't bad enough, multiple items from my order were wrong as well. I ordered chocolate milk, they gave me apple juice. I ordered buffalo sauce, they gave me barbecue sauce. I ordered a McFlurry, they didn't give me a spoon or any utensils to eat it with.

I love McDonalds, but I've never had an experience like this before where my entire food order was room temperature, and half of the items were incorrect. I stopped to eat my food in the parking lot, so there's no reason for the food to be cooled down.

This occurred on August 2, 2025 at 6pm. I've had positive experiences at this location on other occasions, but whoever was working during that time had zero regard for food safety. Please have a conversation with the employees about regularly replacing the food to ensure it stays hot and doesn't sit out for hours at room temperature. After waiting 10 minutes after my order was placed I was handed the wrong order. I was then given the right order. Once i got home I “enjoyed” two ice cold cheeseburgers that were put together so sloppily they should have just crushed it all together with a fist, it would have been easier to pick up and probably less ketchup on the top of the bun. Honestly, the burger was a solid 4 inches off of the top bun and the bottom of the bun was further in the opposite direction. No sauce for the nuggets even though the receipt says bbq. No napkins. Apple pie also cold. The nuggets were good but I only ate one because who wants a dry nugget with no sauce. The staff clearly doesn’t care AT ALL. Very disappointing. I know it’s cheap fast food but there used to be a certain standard you could expect. I worked in fast food myself for a few years and there are just some things that are required of you while working. Certain protocols and checks to ensure customers get what they order and have everything they need. All the staff at this location need to be retrained or fired. Like really?? No sauce when ordering nuggets. No napkins when ordering food, especially when you put most of the ketchup on the outside top of the bun. I couldn’t be...
