I legit never waste my time writing reviews but I have to this time. DO NOT order onlineâ specifically at the 4407 Chestnut St. location. Even if you pay before pick up, they donât make your food until you arrive. EVERY SINGLE TIME Iâve ordered and paid online, I wait 30 min before I show up (I live around the corner) and still have to wait an extra 15 minutes to get my food because they havenât even started my order. Theyâll tell you â7 minutesâ every time too and it really takes 15-20. Why is my food not ready when I arrive and ALREADY PAID?
But that isnât even the annoying part. I could put up with waiting a little extra time if the food was at least worth it, but itâs not. Iâve been handed lukewarm or straight up COLD fries AND chicken almost every single time. If you arent making my food until I show up, how is it COLD when you hand it to me? I live a 30 second walk away so it should be hot when I get home lmao.
The chicken is also crazy DRY. The sandwiches, tenders, and loaded fries are all just dry and tasteless. They slather it all in way too much sauce to cover up the fact that theyâre serving you old, dry chicken and disgusting oily fries.
DO NOT give this place your hard earned money. Try literally any other of the thousand hot chicken places in this city, but avoid this one and especially avoid the Chestnut St. location. THEY DONâT CARE. Iâve ordered here a ton of times and the quality and service only gets worse and worse. Youâll never have my...
Read moreOn June 20, I placed an order at this location. When I arrived, the cashier let me know the order had been sent to the wrong location (I had clicked âorderâ on this exact spot in my apple maps before ordering, but I should've double checked). He acknowledged the issue, called the other location to inform them, and told me to reorder in person and then email customer service for a guaranteed refund.
I followed his instructions, confirmed everything with him, and placed a second order, effectively paying twice. I emailed customer service that same day, AT THE COUNTER and followed up multiple times over the next two weeks. Iâve still received no response.
At this point, Nanuâs has $60 of my money for about $20 worth of food (the prices were way higher online). The food isnât bad, Iâve been coming here for nearly two years but this experience felt careless. With all the chicken spots in the area, Iâd just rather spend my money somewhere that stands behind its service and follows through when mistakes are made. Especially as I am a college student who was just trying to take my friends to some well known...
Read moreYo, I pulled up to Nanuâs Hot Chicken on a chill Friday night, tryna see what the hype was about. Soon as I walked in, I could smell that spicy chicken in the air â had my mouth lowkey watering. The spot was lit but still had that chill vibe, music bumpinâ, everybody locked in on their food.
I ordered the âHot Honey Chicken Sandwichâ with fries and a lemonade. Bro, when I say that first bite was different â crispy, juicy, and that sweet heat hit perfect. Like it ainât just hot for no reason, it got flavor too. The fries was seasoned right, crispy not soggy, and that lemonade? Straight bussinâ. I even got some extra comeback sauce on the side, dipped everything in it.
The staff was cool, real friendly, even asked if I could handle the spice. I said âIâm from Philly, Iâll be aightâ â but nah, that spice had me wiping my forehead halfway through. Still smashed the whole plate though.
By the time I left, I was full as hell and already thinkinâ about what Iâma try next time â maybe the loaded fries or the tenders. Nanuâs definitely earned a spot on...
