I legit never waste my time writing reviews but I have to this time. DO NOT order onlineā specifically at the 4407 Chestnut St. location. Even if you pay before pick up, they donāt make your food until you arrive. EVERY SINGLE TIME Iāve ordered and paid online, I wait 30 min before I show up (I live around the corner) and still have to wait an extra 15 minutes to get my food because they havenāt even started my order. Theyāll tell you ā7 minutesā every time too and it really takes 15-20. Why is my food not ready when I arrive and ALREADY PAID?
But that isnāt even the annoying part. I could put up with waiting a little extra time if the food was at least worth it, but itās not. Iāve been handed lukewarm or straight up COLD fries AND chicken almost every single time. If you arent making my food until I show up, how is it COLD when you hand it to me? I live a 30 second walk away so it should be hot when I get home lmao.
The chicken is also crazy DRY. The sandwiches, tenders, and loaded fries are all just dry and tasteless. They slather it all in way too much sauce to cover up the fact that theyāre serving you old, dry chicken and disgusting oily fries.
DO NOT give this place your hard earned money. Try literally any other of the thousand hot chicken places in this city, but avoid this one and especially avoid the Chestnut St. location. THEY DONāT CARE. Iāve ordered here a ton of times and the quality and service only gets worse and worse. Youāll never have my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn June 20, I placed an order at this location. When I arrived, the cashier let me know the order had been sent to the wrong location (I had clicked āorderā on this exact spot in my apple maps before ordering, but I should've double checked). He acknowledged the issue, called the other location to inform them, and told me to reorder in person and then email customer service for a guaranteed refund.
I followed his instructions, confirmed everything with him, and placed a second order, effectively paying twice. I emailed customer service that same day, AT THE COUNTER and followed up multiple times over the next two weeks. Iāve still received no response.
At this point, Nanuās has $60 of my money for about $20 worth of food (the prices were way higher online). The food isnāt bad, Iāve been coming here for nearly two years but this experience felt careless. With all the chicken spots in the area, Iād just rather spend my money somewhere that stands behind its service and follows through when mistakes are made. Especially as I am a college student who was just trying to take my friends to some well known...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYo, I pulled up to Nanuās Hot Chicken on a chill Friday night, tryna see what the hype was about. Soon as I walked in, I could smell that spicy chicken in the air ā had my mouth lowkey watering. The spot was lit but still had that chill vibe, music bumpinā, everybody locked in on their food.
I ordered the āHot Honey Chicken Sandwichā with fries and a lemonade. Bro, when I say that first bite was different ā crispy, juicy, and that sweet heat hit perfect. Like it aināt just hot for no reason, it got flavor too. The fries was seasoned right, crispy not soggy, and that lemonade? Straight bussinā. I even got some extra comeback sauce on the side, dipped everything in it.
The staff was cool, real friendly, even asked if I could handle the spice. I said āIām from Philly, Iāll be aightā ā but nah, that spice had me wiping my forehead halfway through. Still smashed the whole plate though.
By the time I left, I was full as hell and already thinkinā about what Iāma try next time ā maybe the loaded fries or the tenders. Nanuās definitely earned a spot on...
