The food is alright, but shrinkflation is way too real at this place. The first time we ordered from here was a few months ago, and although overpriced for street food, it was still decent with the portion and taste. Today, it was absolutely not worth the money and we most likely will not be purchasing from here again, give other options.
For examples, the consistent items across the order from a few months ago and today were the gyros. The previous time I got the kebab gyros, the pita was normal size, a good portion of the veggies, and for a $10 gyro I got 2 full size kebabs - which is what I would expect for that price. Today, we noticed they managed to get a hold of mini pitas - didn’t know that was a thing. So the gyros were half the size (even smaller than my hand and I have relatively small hands. I comfortably wear size medium latex gloves, and can squeeze into a small glove, if that helps for reference), and veggie filling was nearly non-existent, and for the kebab gyro they cut 1 kebab in half. So I am paying the same price ($10) for half the portion. Ridiculous.
Roll for the cheesesteak also is very narrow. And please, don’t use kraft singles for your cheesesteaks. The cheese should be melted for cheesesteaks - I don’t want to see the yellow cheese slices still intact; this shouldn’t be school lunch quality.
It just seems like this place is skimping on quantity and quality while increasing their profits. There is, of course, nothing wrong with making profits, but don’t treat your customers like they are dumb and as though they can’t tell you are giving them less than the next shop while charging them more than the other...
Read moreWhat should you expect when you order from Naz’s Halal Food? Satisfying, and fresh quality food. Great portion size. Delicious flavors that delight your palate. Customer service that goes above and beyond.
I ordered four entrees, and all were the same. Chicken (gluten-free) over basmati rice with white and hot sauce, and salad. Everything was delicious. Everyone was in agreement. Seeing in the notes that I placed “GLUTEN-FREE”, the manager called me and ensured that the dish I was ordering was gluten free. Other types of meats offered in the platter are not gluten-free. That call was smart, and well-appreciated.
Compare that to a recent order from Grubhub where a restaurant told Grubhub they could not make a dish that Grubhub incorrectly labeled could be made gluten-free. Grubhub told the restaurant (NOT Naz’s Halal) to make the order anyway, Grubhub never notified me, and when the restaurant told Grubhub to refund the order, Grubhub said “no”.
Conclusion, the management and customer service of Naz’s is better than a company, Grubhub, valued at over $2B. The call by Naz’s showed attention to detail, comprehension of dietary restrictions, and repercussions if they’re not adhered to, and one of the three most important character traits of leadership- empathy. ORDER from Naz’s Halal. Try to DO SO without using the Grubhub and Uber Eats platforms, who have deplorable customer service that dis boy care about your health, safety,...
Read moreI wasn’t able to leave a review on UberEats, But I came here just to say that their food deserved a review as I am a new halal convert because of this place.
Upon entering, it seems very Black-Mirror ish as there is no front desk, but is easy for pickup as you enter your name on the screen and pick up your order from a locker.
I ordered the chicken and lamb combo over rice with white sauce. It was warm, the salad side, rice and meat tasted fresh and well seasoned/cooked, and I had no intentions of finishing it (the volume was $13 worth and enough for me to think that I could save the rest) but it was that good. However, the falafel was a bit dry, (borderline stale) and the fries got steamed/a bit sweaty but not soggy.
Usually I have photos because my camera eats first, but this time… didn’t stand a chance. I will be thinking about it until the next time I’m able to...
