Went in last Friday really wanting to like Phin and left not too impressed. I know they are new and trying to get their foothold and hope they improve as they are a wonderful addition to the area and have a really nice designed and welcoming cafe. Ordered the ca phe sua hot (nong), a hazelnut latte, two croissants, and egg rolls.
The ca phe sua tasted light on flavor. It was missing the boldness of robusta bean coffee and the sweetness of condensed milk that vietnamese coffee has.
The hazelnut latte seemed like it just had hazelnut syrup added. Nothing special that sets it apart.
Wanted the bao buns but they weren't available so went with eggrolls and croissants. The eggrolls were dry. And the croissants weren't very unique. Hoping they'll add more vietnamese centric breakfast/bites items in the future.
Phin has lots of potential so fingers crossed...

I was looking forward to the bun since it’s usually hard to go wrong with, but this one was quite disappointing. I have it the moment I got it and It was firm, cold inside, and had a fridge smell instead of the soft, freshly steamed texture I expected. :/
Hope this can be fixed soon
