The food is very good! I got the large cheese pizza, buffalo wings, 2liter soda for 16.99 and the rustica salad with roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella on a bed of fresh mixed greens. The balsamic was very good, not too thick or acidic. You know how pizza shops throw everything but the kitchen sink in a salad with nasty iceberg lettuce, well these guys just offer a great tasty simple salad. The driver explained to us that all of the breads and crusts are homemade, hand tossed, we appreciated that tidbit of info. He was friendly too. The pizza crust was delish, crunchy outter with a soft chewy inner which is what you look for in a homemade bread. The wings were cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of heat. Even the blue cheese was good. It wasnt too "mayonnaisey". I would recommend and will be ordering again and again! The best salad I've ever had from any pizza place EVER! This place is better than any Zagat rated pizzaria I've ever eaten at. Don't let those Zagat rates fool you most if them aren't good places to eat. Pizzaria Pesto keep doing what you do and...

The Genoese invented pesto and they have used it on everything. One might almost believe that somewhere, someone is making pesto ice cream. Claudio Coniglioro, the owner and manager of Pesto Pizzeria, South Philadelphia, has made Genoese pesto the signature ingredient of his cuisine. He makes Chicken Genovese with pesto, pizza with pesto, pasta with pesto, ravioli with pesto. And what pesto it is! These are family recipes. Second, it is said to slow down aging. And it is known that Genoese don,t really age! In fact, rumor has it that Cristopher Columbus still lives at 4th and Morris. It is an extremely enjoyable experience. Come see and taste for yourself. You can find Pesto Pizzeria near Broad...
Read moreWe get their pizzas most often, but my niece loves their spaghetti with pesto sauce and I like to get their chicken cheesteak once in a while. (Tip: Ask for the chicken to be chopped up, get it with provolone, fried onions, and hot peppers on the side and ask them to toast the roll…delicious!). They also have really yummy fries, onion rings, and pretty much everything is great. We pick up (versus delivery) and the fries are always fresh and have just the right amount of “crisp,” and the food is always hot and delicious. The pizza is so good that we prefer to pick it up just because we can get it piping hot out of the oven. The Grandma Pies are also great. We have been going there since they opened. There are nights when I feel the pizza tastes “extra delicious” but they are always super delicious and we’ve never had a single complaint. Not once. Ever. And the staff is super....
