I moved to the area, and the hunt is on for good Italian. I will say I’ve been lucky to live near some of the best in the city, so it’s been an uphill battle to find a suitable replacement. I tried Ricky & Marias by the many recommendations from people. I wanted it to be better. I did. It started with a 3x longer wait than I was initially quoted when placing the order, and then the food was cold and inedible in its current state. So now it’s 830 and I have to heat up all my food. As you could have guessed, it didn’t heat up all that great. I can’t be sure as the chicken parm was so cold I had to reheat it, but it might have been chicken tenders with mozzarella and sauce thrown on them. People raved about the meatballs, so I had to try them. They were nothing to write home about. There was very little texture inside and not something I’d get again. I will stick to my home made BPV meatballs that blow these away. The calamari was hot at one point as was the sauce as you can see from the melted plastic container for the marinara. There was a salad thrown in and a small piece of focaccia thrown in. The garlic knots were one of the better choices I made. They were garlicky and had a nice chew to them. Unfortunately I won’t be ordering from them for a garlic knot only. The search continues. Seeing the 4.7 and the other reviews maybe I got a bad first attempt here. Maybe I’ll try it again some day.

The flattest Sicilian pizza I've ever had. The rise barely exceeds a quarter of an inch, except for the crust. It felt like paying extra just to have someone cut my pizza into squares. Even if this place does thin crust style in general, offering Sicilian is them advertising a thick, chewy crust with bits of crispy, caramelized cheese around the edges. That said, it still tasted good for what it was (pepper flakes and garlic powder added at home).

It's rare that a pizza place can get a sauce that has a pretty decent balance of sweetness to seasoning, especially at the price point that Ricki and Maria's has it. The white pizza is delicious back at it with ricotta and ask for it. Well done Toppings on the standard cheese, pizza are not skimpy and there's a good cheese to sauce ratio.

Heard good things about this place, but was very disappointed. Ordered 2 pizzas (cheese on both slid right off, making a huge mess in the boxes), fries (which were CLEARLY made with rancid oil, stank, and were inedible), mozzarella sticks (again, rancid oil - but also undercooked), a steak roll (gummy, overcooked steak, and made in bread, not a croissant as the menu states), kid's tenders (again, gross, as they were made using rancid oil), tiramisu (which arrived melted), cannoli, brownies (both fine).

Contacted the store requesting a refund or replacement order - was told we might be granted a refund if we brought the food to the store. We ordered in because we couldn't go out - one of us recently had knee surgery and really can't get around. Not to mention I shouldn't have to take time out of my day for your screw up.

This was our first order at this dump and we will not be returning. There are SO MANY incredible pizza options in the neighborhood. This one will not be around for long if this is how their food tastes and how they treat their...

I have mixed feelings. Employees there were really sweet and it seems like the place has built up a caring community which is always nice to see in the neighborhood. However, other comments have also mentioned the not so accurate wait time that kind of deducted from the experience, but this was a first try, too. We ordered two pastas, one with vodka sauce and one with creamy pesto. The Vodka sauce pasta was quite nice, the creamy pesto fell flat and was very oily. The chicken and fries were quite alright and they offered us some dessert for the wait. The Tres Leche was marvelous in my opinion, no word on the tiramasu yet. I don't usually do reviews (so feel free to think what you will of my experience), but I did want to pass along the updated store menu. Although, it seems like you'd have to call ahead if you're in need of that...
