Rose's Real Italian Water Ice — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Went to this window walk-up yesterday with my family because the line at C&C was super long and their drive thru was closed. Disappointed to have wasted money here on a hot day. The water ice was melted, literally a cold soup consistency where the spoon went straight through the water ice to the bottom of the cup. They were better off giving us straws because I’ve seen slushy more solid than what we were served. My husband ordered a gelato and the soft serve was even melted and was a puddle sitting on top of the water ice.

The regular and small size cups are the same size with different prices. Also because the water ice was melted the mango, strawberry lemonade, and super pineapple flavors were nonexistent, it just tasted like soupy ice. If I could give this place zero stars I would. This is the epitome of lazy america. First of all, their food sucks and on top of that they are never open. Which explains why they work out of a shed. Its supposed to be a neighborhood convenient spot to grab a quick bite, but it is the opposite of that. I recently went with my girlfriend for a breakfast sandwich. I was at the front of the line by 12:01 and they "stop serving breakfast" at 12. They would not make me a breakfast sandwich which shows that they are lazy and put the breakfast food away way before 12. I told them that I was going to take my business elsewhere and the lazy disrespectful owner told me to "say it to his face". Me or anyone i know will not be coming back here. Lazy! Was hustling to get there in time and was 3 mins early. Saw a couple walk right past me with italian ice, 5 steps before i got to the window. It was like 99 degrees out. They closed the window in my face on a day i dont think i ever needed an italian ice more. There were also 3 other people that came right after. Wouldnt serve any of us. I dont think the owner would be too happy knowing her employees would do this to a paying customer and turn down an extra 20 bucks in 2 mins.
