This is hands down my favorite spot in the Fairmount neighborhood! The vibes are perfect—relaxed, welcoming, and never uptight. The bartenders Emily, Jen, Brian, and Alec are all fantastic and make you feel right at home. The owners are also genuinely nice and clearly care about creating a great experience. One of my favorite things about this place is how dog-friendly it is! They always greet my (slightly needy) pup with open arms, which makes us both feel so welcome. There are thoughtful touches everywhere—purse and coat hooks with outlets underneath the bar are a game-changer! The outdoor seating is great, and I love that they always have local sports on their four flatscreens. They even do free green tea shots for Eagles touchdowns and field goals—such a fun bonus during the games. They host awesome weekly events like karaoke and trivia, plus seasonal events like a Halloween dog costume contest, which is just as cute as it sounds. The regulars here are a charming mix of relatable characters, adding even more to the neighborhood feel. Plus, the bar and bathrooms are always clean and recently renovated, which is a nice touch. If you're looking for a laid-back, dog-friendly, and welcoming bar with great people, this is it. Highly recommend!

Best neighborhood bar! On the face of it, nothing much jumps out... Typical corner bar, ball games on the TVs, young-ish crowd. Diverse. Friendly... If you're hungry, you better like hot dogs or grill cheese (along with a killer collection of spicy mustards). If you want beer, no drafts, but you can have your choice from a decent selection of bottles and cans. But it's the vibe that does it.... It's the shrine to American poet Charles Bukowski. It's the owner, hanging out and tipping back a couple with the patrons, then offering to walk my girlfriend home when she was there late. It's every interaction I've had with the bartenders. They're just nice. Not cuz I'm a regular... Been there a handful of times, not often enough to be considered a regular... That's just how it is there. I enjoy it every time.

Tried out Fairmount Tavern on a casual Tuesday while waiting for reservations elsewhere. Had a good time! The interior is large and well decorated, with a super long bar. The can selection and cocktails were all solid, however it is disappointing there's no draft beer. Vibes were chill and even on a Tuesday it was pretty busy inside. Good addition to the neighborhood, and will be back!

I went to this bar for an event. The upstairs was nice and the bartender was really friendly. I inquired about hosting an event there and was told to fill out a form online and someone would contact me. It’s been two weeks with no follow up and when I call the phone goes straight to voicemail and the voicemail is full. It’s a nice place but not following up with potential new customers is not good. Hopefully someone will take the time to check all of...
