I like the food and I've been there about five times. The first time was on New Years Eve around 6pm and an older guy rolled his eyes when I walked up and I said if they were closing it was totally fine! I really would rather not be an inconvenience and I don’t think the food tastes as good if I feel I was annoying when getting it. He said he didnt have any bread left, then said "it's the holidays isnt it?" It was not nice how he said it and he proceeded to somehow find bread and make me a sandwich, but seemed to want me to feel guilty about it. No worries, it takes me a few times to get sensitive. The next two times I interacted with very chill younger dudes. The past two times it was unc again. He scolded me for picking up at the ordering window (mind you, this is now my fourth visit doing this). I have still never said anything but thank you to this man at this point. Today, I walked up to the window he requested last time, said I was picking up, he rolled his eyes, shoved the food in my face and closed the window as I was saying thank you. I tip every time and I’m totally baffled but I've had nothing but confusing interactions with this man, and after giving him three tries he's clearly not just having a bad day and he's either just rude or is trying to convey that he doesn't want my business, for...

I’m West Philadelphia Born and Raised, 33 years strong and I just discovered this spot today. I was attending an event down the street and decided to grab some food beforehand. Let me preface my review by saying that I’ve literally traveled the world and hosted folks from all around the world. When they ask about Philly and where to buy a cheesesteak, my answer is always, “Just go to any neighborhood store for an authentic cheesesteak. Avoid south Street and the tourist traps.” Well, today I ordered a cheesesteak from The Fresh Works. And bay bay! It’s as if I had a cheesesteak for the very first time today——and I’ve been living in Philly my whole life! I learned today, that not all cheesesteaks are created equal. The steak was high quality! Everything was fresh! The roll was soft but firm enough! Omg—-my mouth had an orgasm, and I didn’t even know that was possible LOL. I will be ordering my cheesesteaks from here from now on, even if that means I’m driving from West Philly. I’ve had the rest of them—now I’ve finally had the...

The fries and onion rings taste good but how difficult can they be to make. I ordered I’m person service was meh and the menu is very overpriced They charged me for my drinks but never included them so I paid 6 bucks for 2 drinks they for got to include in my order. The cheesesteak was the worst I had in years. More meat doesn’t mean more better. It’s a sloppy mess and broke apart so I couldn’t eat it as a sandwich. The roll was the best part of the cheesesteaks s threw out the 12 dollar cheese steak.

The burger…. Was equally disappointing. I will never return and don’t recommend it to anyone plenty of other places less expensive, with better...

The guy was very friendly, he gave me the drink/smoothie and I let him know I was from Texas and his spot was the first Philly Cheese steak I tried in April..so I came back to support, because it identified as Black 🖤 Owned..he only had chicken left..and I got the same ingredients, just chicken and not beef...and it did what I expected it to do..which WAS MAKE ME SMILE🤣😂 There was not a long wait..the price was perfect and the food was Dang Good..and my drink was the OWL smoothie. I plan on coming back the next time I am working in Salem New Jersey. Stay Strong..✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾❤️💚🖤

My bus broke down, so I went to the next cheesesteak joint. Turns out I was lucky, because otherwise I wouldn't have tried this amazing cheesesteak. Reasonable priced for the amount of meat you get. The cheesesteak pictured was $9.50, or $9 without the cheese. Edit: After trying other places in Philly, this was still the best Cheesesteak I had. 5/5

Came here to try out Philly cheesesteak for the first time! Ordered the classic Philly cheesesteak and the buffalo chicken cheesesteak, plus some fries for me and my friends. Everything was awesome, including the smoothies. Would recommend. Service was also top notch, with the server giving me a nice bag to carry my haul in! (Takeout only joint)
