I was really excited to try this new sports bar for the Eagles vs. Cowboys game, but unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
We were a group of 8 and were happy to be able to reserve a table. However, the layout was problematic: one side of our table was facing the TVs at the bar (where the sound was), and the other side was facing the TVs on the back wall. We had to ask them to put the Eagles game on the back TVs, but once they did, we noticed a major issue—the TVs on the back wall were about 30 seconds ahead of the ones at the bar. This made the experience frustrating, as the sound was out of sync with what we were watching.
When I tried to talk to the management about it, I was told there was nothing they could do. Frankly, this is a major problem for any sports bar, especially during a big game. If an Eagles game is on, every TV should be showing it, and they should be properly synced. I shouldn’t have to ask for these basics, especially in Philadelphia.
We had already ordered food by the time this became an issue so we could not immediately leave. When the food did arrive unfortunately, the wings and fries were cold, and the brussels sprouts were undercooked.
When it was time to pay, the process felt awkward. We were just shown a number on the Toast device and didn’t receive any clear breakdown of our charges. My friend who paid for the group later realized we had likely been overcharged, and none of the advertised happy hour specials were applied.
Overall, the experience was frustrating from start to finish. We won’t be returning. Thankfully, we called ahead to Mix Bar & Grill just around the corner, and they were able to reserve their last table for us. We had a wonderful experience there with great food, a better atmosphere, and reasonable prices. If you're looking for a sports bar in this area, I highly recommend checking out Mix Bar &...
Read moreDo not go here for the Super Bowl or major sporting event… We came here for the Eagles NFC championship game and our experience was complicated… it started out okay with a rather small beer list and staff that didn’t understand basic drink orders. Then the game started and things went downhill fast. All of the TV’s were synced up differently so depending on where you were seated you could be looking at a TV 30 seconds or more delayed while the rest of the bar was reacting to plays you hadn’t seen yet. The staff tried to remedy the situation and sync them all up, but it seemed to make the matters worse and upset everyone in the bar as the TV’s were being paused and reset every few minutes for the first quarter of the game. The staff had HOURS to figure it out before the game started, but they only turned the TV’s on 5 minutes before kickoff. If they had tested the situation prior this could have been avoided while the game was being played. Mismanagement at its finest. But then our food came and, I’m going to be honest, it was one of the best smash burgers I’ve ever had. Which is where I stay conflicted and want to give this place another try. I will not be coming back here to watch a major sporting event, but if I do it will be to get the smash burger and maybe try out the rooftop in the summer.
If they can’t figure out how to properly display a major sporting event I fear they won’t succeed very long in this city. I wish them the best and hope they can figure it out as the location and staff were very nice but clearly they have a lot of training and work...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place. I found the restaurant online and after looking at the previous reviews and photos of the food, I wanted to give it a try! I ordered online and decided to do pick up. I was pleasantly surprised to see how nice the establishment looks and that they have a roof top. I was hoping to love the food so that it could potentially be a new go to once the weather permits rooftop dining. Unfortunately, it was a big a disappointment!!! Let’s start with the pricing. The prices were a bit steep but Im willing to pay for quality dining. Truffle fries were about $10 & the only difference from their standard fries was that this artificial shredded parmesan cheese was tossed on top. Notice I didnt say cooked or seasoned, it was just basically thrown into the box. No flavor, 0 taste- almost like buying a bag of fries from the market. No salt, pepper absolutely hard/stale fries. Tasted nothing like truffle fries.
I ordered wings, priced at $17… the menu didn't mention the # of wings but I figured okay somewhere between 8-10 wings for that price. Nope, 6 wings in the box. Nothing special with the flavor. The burgers included bacon, and the instructions specifically say “no bacon” due to religious reasons. In fact, there’s an online option to include “No Bacon” There were very few patrons at the bar when I picked up my order. At these prices, at the very least please read the details and improve the food quality/cooking…Beautiful restaurant but that was as...
