I stopped at this food truck after seeing a YouTube video about how good the food is and I was not disappointed!
The man running the cart obviously takes great care in creating these meals. The food was well cooked, well seasoned, and truly a delicious bite. You can tell the food is prepared with quality ingredients. It’s also a great healthy option that includes fruits and veggies in a way that is an absolute treat to eat.
While all of this is obviously quite great, what has really blown me away is the portion size you receive and the value of the plate. One plate alone provided lunch for me and then dinner for both myself and my partner. None of the three meals this plate made were small either. It feels like a steal to get this much high quality food for the price.
While the wait may be a bit longer than some other options in the area and the cart is cash only, the quality is far superior and well worth it. (It also isn’t /that/ much longer of a wait)
If I can offer some advice to those going to this cart, bring a bag to carry the container in if you’re walking about/back to an office/to another location. The container is large and quite heavy (again! A crazy amount of food!) so bringing a bag if you’re on the go would likely be helpful. I’ll be bringing one next time! Also, be sure you have a plan for utensils and beverages as the cart doesn’t provide them.
This is truly a great food cart and I can’t wait to return to see what is being...
Read moreTl;dr Lesson learned: don't ask questions. But definitely worth getting in line! Gus is incredibly passionate about his food and running his food truck. No signs, no prices, nothing - honestly the most unassuming food truck I've ever seen. If it hadn't been my friend noticing the truck, I would've walked by and thought it sold flowers.
Context: I had never actually heard of Gus and the "Food Truck Nazi" before. Hence, I asked if I could have my box without rice. For the next 20 minutes, we covered topics of how high quality his food was, how high quality food will take time, how his food is nothing like what's at Morimoto's, how we came at a great time etc.
Wait time: We got there at a perfect time, right when Gus was opening. We probably waited 10-15 minutes for 3 orders in total. Expect to wait longer if there are more people, and if questions are asked.
Food: Honestly incredible; definitely want to go back. A delicious sweet and savory combination of charcoal grilled chicken, blackberries, large grapes, diced honeydew melon, and grilled figs over rice. Those figs were AMAZING! And I have no idea what sauce he used, but it tied the plate together very well. And portion size was quite large - the box felt heavy!
Overall: 5 / 5, a surprisingly delicious meal and worth the wait. Keep...

There’s no menu, no options of what to order, you just stand in line, and when it’s your turn, he just gives you a platter of deliciousness.
It’s 20$ but I stuffed my face and could only finish half, then just stuffed my face again for dinner. So basically $20 for 2 delicious meals, not bad.
The details apparently change each day (but I have a feeling the chicken and falafel are always the base, although I can't be certain). Today, I had:
A boatload of immaculately charcoal-grilled chicken thighs. Just perfectly blackened and seasoned incredibly. The pictures don’t show it much but underneath that big pile there’s tons of chicken. Then this awesome falafel, so green on the inside and delicious. And then the most random ingredients I could ever imagine, but they work so well: grapes (!! really worked well, maybe my favorite part), the flesh of a lemon, red cabbage, noodles with some sort of light sauce on it, some sort of green mushy vegetable that was similar to avocado but definitely not avocado, spring onions, and maybe some sort of green garnish.
Freaking fantastic. Thank you, sir, for...
