Edited to add as a Mexican-American who doesn’t recommend much in Philly, this will be on my place to tell folks about and I’m starting with a Google 5 star review! Such a hidden gem! This family owned Mexican restaurant is packed with flavor, familial style interactions, and they even have an area that looks like a pantry with lots of authentic ingredients. For some reason the website didn’t allow me to order until the next day, I called in my order and they had it ready in 10 minutes. My burrito was packed with flavor (steak). Also side note the burrito does come with guac, I made them aware there was an error on the website and they were grateful. Also super reasonable pricing for a burrito packed with rice and beans, guac, pico, cheese, and lettuce. Let us not forget their salsa verde and roja that comes with your order 🤤 I’ll be back!

This place is sooooo good, I cannot recommend it enough. Family owned and run by the absolute sweetest people. I’ve been multiple times and tried the sopas azteca (godly, this healed my spirit when I was feeling sick), as well as variations of the sopes, tacos, and huaraches. I highly recommend their al pastor and chicken tinga! Also really love the chips they bring out while you’re waiting (cotija and refried beans on chips). Bonus: they sell valentina hot sauce and other staples!

Came out all the way from NYC, had sometime before a concert and I’m so happy ! 10/10 experience, Philly locals are so so lucky to have this gem, and as a Mexican, this spot is better than most mexican spots in Manhattan. Spoke to the owner, she is wonderful and so kind ! I can tell she puts passion into this place, told me everything is made daily :+D please please please do yourself a favor and check out this spot, it’s not too flashy and feels like home.
