A year+ later I thought that I’d give this venue another try. 9:30pm on a Monday, Veterans Day, and yes, I’m a Veteran. I ordered a large concrete; vanilla with cherries. I then ask to use the bathroom. “Sorry, we just cleaned it, and it’s closed for the night.” Are you serious?! An elderly customer needs to use the bathroom, and you tell them no?! No sale! I asked for the phone number to the manager. Off the clerk went. I couldn’t wait any longer; so I left. I will never ever visit Andy’s Custard for any frozen custard. As a Veteran I ask my fellow veterans to boycott this business. And I warn the elderly and disabled that they may be subject to such rude service. Andy’s is forever on my blacklist of places to never do business with. _______ Frozen custard is a better, higher quality of dessert than ice cream or DQ. The frustrating part in ordering here is customer service. I’ve had orders made wrong, and they were kind enough to credit back my charge. For the most part the associates don’t understand or care to listen when taking an order. The image included in this review is based upon an order for a large cherry concrete; 3/4’s vanilla custard and 1/4’s chocolate custard — after the associate didn’t understand what a “dollop” of chocolate custard is… and presumed I wanted chocolate chips; and then confused it for chocolate syrup. I don’t understand what’s so difficult in placing an order for a large concrete using vanilla custard, adding a dollop of chocolate custard, and mixing in cherries. Is that too hard? ‘A dollop usually refers to a small portion — about a tablespoon — of soft food, such as sour or whipped cream.’ Update 07/25/23: came tonight asking for a concrete - 1 scoop of chocolate, the other 4 vanilla. I got the same mess of chocolate; and hardly any cherries. I’m done coming to Andy’s. The customer service is trash 🗑️. I’ve received better service at DQ. And a Blizzard is way cheaper than a concrete. Good luck getting a special order made to your liking. It’s their way, not yours. Who cares about what you want. You’re a nuisance to them as they talk behind the counter listening to their music. 0 for no frozen custard; -5 for egregious and rude service; and 1 Star for atmosphere as I need to leave something for the review. Unbelievable!

We love Andy’s, and are always coming back. We suggest getting a small because the custard is so rich.Trust us. I would have given 5 stars, but I often receive my order wrong—more times th an right. I don’t have a complicated order, I just swap an ingredient for another. But, 4/5 times it is just made wrong and it’s frustrating. Pictured is the Waffle Crunch concrete with supposed to be no peanuts, but found that there were peanuts after a 15 min drive home. That’s my only gripe, otherwise it is really good. Just need more precise workers that focus on quality and not how quick they can erode the line. Two days later we went back and ordered the same concrete that my boyfriend got: the Cherry Bash. Instead, this time, the cashier rang up the toppings individually and so the concretes were both 8 dollars for two mediums. After the last debacle, he was just frustrated and annoyed so we didn’t confront them then, but are waiting to hear back from management. Overall, we always have problems going to this Andy’s.

Grumpy, short customer “service” & mediocre concretes — a match made at Andy’s. The custard was alright. Not bad, not great. Just alright. I added brownie chunks and Oreo pieces to my chocolate concrete. The Oreos are either 1) a knockoff brand that don’t actually taste like Oreos, or 2) a really really old bag of Oreos that no longer taste like Oreos. In either case, that’s bad news. The brownie chunks are closer to chocolate cake than they are brownies. Not at all fudgy, very light and cakey, and barely chocolately. The concrete itself was pretty melted by the time we started eating it, which was about 30 seconds after we got it. I realize a concrete is going to be more melty than a scoop of custard, but this was egregious. Kinda soupy. All in all, pretty mediocre experience. Wouldn’t return.

Certainly, here is a ten paragraph Google review on Andy's Custard:

If you're looking for a sweet treat that will satisfy your cravings, look no further than Andy's Frozen Custard. This chain of dessert shops offers a wide range of frozen custard flavors, toppings, and mix-ins that will leave your taste buds in a state of pure bliss. Here's a detailed review of my experience at the Andy's Custard location in my hometown:

First of all, let me just say that the staff at this Andy's location are fantastic. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. The employees were patient and friendly as I looked over the menu and made my selection. They were also quick to answer any questions I had about the different flavors and toppings.

Now, let's talk about the custard. Oh my goodness, it's amazing. The texture is so smooth and creamy, and the flavors are rich and intense. I tried the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavor, and it was out of this world. The chunks of cookie dough were generous and perfectly mixed throughout the custard. It was like eating a frozen cookie dough sundae.

But it's not just the custard that's delicious - the toppings and mix-ins are also top-notch. I opted for whipped cream and hot fudge on my sundae, and they were both perfect. The hot fudge was rich and velvety, and the whipped cream was light and fluffy.

In terms of pricing, Andy's Custard is a little on the pricier side for a dessert shop. However, I think the quality of the custard and toppings justifies the cost. You can also choose from a range of sizes, so you can get a smaller portion if you're not looking to indulge too much.

One thing I appreciate about Andy's is the attention to detail they put into their products. The custard is made fresh throughout the day, and the toppings are always of the highest quality. You can tell that the people who work here really care about what they're serving to their customers.

Another great thing about Andy's is the variety of flavors they offer. They have classic flavors like vanilla and chocolate, as well as more unique options like Key Lime Pie and Banana Pudding. They also rotate in seasonal flavors throughout the year, which is a fun way to mix things up.

If you're looking for a fun and unique way to enjoy Andy's Custard, try one of their concretes. These are essentially thick milkshakes with mix-ins blended in. I tried the Butter Pecan Concrete and it was divine. The pieces of butter pecan brittle mixed throughout the custard were the perfect crunchy contrast to the smooth texture.

In terms of atmosphere, Andy's Custard has a fun and lively vibe. The decor is bright and cheerful, and there's always a steady stream of customers coming in and out. The location I visited had both indoor and outdoor seating, which is great for enjoying your dessert on a sunny day.

Finally, I want to give a shoutout to the cleanliness of the store. Everything was spotless, from the floors to the counters to the bathrooms. It's always a relief to see a business taking hygiene and cleanliness seriously, especially in the food industry.

In summary, if you're a fan of frozen custard or just looking for a sweet treat to indulge in, Andy's Custard is definitely worth a visit. The quality of the custard and toppings is top-notch, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The prices may be a little higher than other dessert shops, but I think the quality justifies the cost. Try the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavor - you won't be...

Date of incident: 11/29/23 Time: approx 10:20pm Worker: young Hispanic female Location: drive thru window

I’ve been to this location many times. For a whole year, I visited once a month for a week at a time and frequented this location multiple times in my stay. The service has always been nothing short of friendly and professional. Though it’s been a little while since I’ve been back to AZ, when I landed, I made it a point to get me some Andy’s.

However tonight’s visit was very disheartening and one I would like to never experience.

For over a year of ordering the same thing, tonight I was told I added too many add-ins. I even up sized my order just to add in chocolate syrup as my add ins. And even then I was told we could not pay to add it. “We no longer add that many add ins” was the response. We offered to pay for the add in, as it’s my regular order (both the AZ location and even in TX). But she rudely refused. She insisted that whoever made my order “were not following the rules”. Meaning for over 2 years of going to Andy’s, everyone was breaking the rules. On top of that, we asked for her name so we can leave a review and she told us that they’re not allowed as they’re technically “unemployed workers”. I’ve never heard of a worker not wearing a name tag or at least giving their first name. She had no remorse and exemplified very non professional service.

While here in AZ, I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere with that type of...
