I was very disappointed, I picked this place to eat, while my group of 11 people went somewhere else to eat to support the Latino culture, but it seemed like their own race is the last race they’d rather service. I just wish they would treat everyone equal in their customer service. Stood like for 5 minutes for someone to actually call me, while there is no line and tables are available and than they don’t even appoint you a seat in a communication way. Waited for another 7 minutes until the same person who said come to go in, tells me that I have to scan a code on the side of the table. Right after she tells me as I’m about to scan a server comes and I order, I order posole verde which I do not recommend, posole is cold, no chips are given. I ask to get it heat up and I am waiting for like 10 to 15 minutes and no one stop to ask as I’m waiting, I finally decide to just leave and notify the same person that was rumbling around since the beginning and she asks to just wait 1 minutes and here comes my food. This place has no good work system. Server was nice and polite, but it seemed like it was just for show, while there’s people close around watching. By the way posole verde is much better in chicken, look up a good recipe for it in TikTok much better that the ingredients used in your posole. I’m sorry if it sound insulting or rude, that is not what I’m trying to point out, just wanting to point out some things that can be changed for the better if your business that sits at a very...
Read moreNo Stars. Or maybe 1 for the service. I have never been compelled to write a review about service or quality of food in the past but the food quality and pricing was so awful that I needed to share my utter dissatisfaction.
The service was actually typical and what should be expected for an airport cafe. The server was pleasant and nice.
The food and drinks were awful. When previewing the menu to determine if I wanted to eat there, I was aghast at the pricing and walked away. There aren't too many other choices to eat in the concourse I was in, so I returned. I ordered a margarita and some carne asada mini soft tacos. The first margarita was syrupy sweet and cost $15. I expected a $15 margarita to taste like it came from at least mid shelf or from just from a shelf but tasted like it came from the dumpster out back. I was not able to finish it. The tacos were underwhelming. The tiny amount of steak was dry and had no flavor. The cabbage was coarse and extremely bitter. Despite adding salt, pepper and asking for more salsa, the flavor was just pitiful. The corn tortillas were inedible and I scraped the taco contents off and ate sans tortilla. I ordered a second margarita, the house margarita, because who can ruin a house margarita? The Barrio Cafe can. $10 and it tasted and smelled like Pine Sol. $50 before tip. Save your money and your well being and avoid find another...
Read moreThe hostess was so nice and accommodating. The main dish was amazing. I had the shrimp tacos. The taco consisted of one jumbo breaded shrimp on a small soft taco shell with a delicious sauce, avocado slices, pico de Gallo, and some other additions. The breading was so crisp and perfectly flavored. The shrimp was deliciously flaky. I didn’t even know shrimp could be flaky. The shrimp tacos were truly a hit. If you get fries, ask for them to be freshly cooked because I think the ones served with my meal had been sitting for a while. There were a couple of big ones that tasted ok with a nice seasoning to them, but mostly it was bottom of the bag crumbs that tasted burnt. The salsa was flavorless. I tried the QR code and found it difficult to use considering I would have had to open each dish to see the ingredients. I expressed my concern to the hostess, and she directed me to the large posted menu then took my order and payment. When I was ready. Can’t believe I forgot to tip. She definitely deserved it. If my plane wasn’t about to board, I would run over there real quick and rectify that. The service was awesome and the main dish...
