I have attempted to use the drive thru a few times recently. They are usually closed (despite the hours saying they should be open), but this morning the cones were gone and I was hopeful. I waited for about 5 minutes for them to use the intercom, I didn't even pester or get upset at first. Eventually I had to try to get their attention and I politely asked "hello?" "Is anyone there?" "Can anyone hear me?", stuff like that. Still no answer, so I pull up to the window. Nobody is there at first, but after a minute someone shows up. She saw me, and she looked annoyed and actually shooed me away with her hands, without even coming over to the window, much less opening it and talking to me. I did leave, after spending about 10 minutes and never hearing a word, then getting treated like an annoying pest not woth a single word. I drove away without arguing, but it greatly upset me. It was the last straw. I almost never leave reviews, and I have never done so for an establishment before, but this was too much and not the first incident. Just the night before I went there for chicken fries because I hadn't had a chance to eat that day, and the cones were in the drive thru despite the fact it was supposed to be open for another half hour. I try the dining room, locked, but I'm not upset since it was apparently closed an hour and a half earlier. But the lights were on so I tried to call. A woman answers (I don't know if she was the same person I saw this morning) and I politely asked what was going on and why the drive thru was closed early, as I was confused and I really didn't want to abandon the trip as I had done twice previously. She came off as very rude, saying something about the drive thru was closed because it was closed, or something to that effect, I'm not sure. I was disappointed but accepted it. I thanked them and said goodbye, which they did not return, before they hung up. I had hoped that I misunderstood her tone, but after this morning I don't think I did. It breaks my heart to see how this Burger King has deteriorated. A few years ago I used to go here every weekend with my little brothers, and it was wonderful. Seeing what it has become is depressing, and disappointing. I don't know if I will ever go back, it's hard to give up on it after the good times my family had there in the past, but it's not the same place that exists in my memory. I'm not angry, despite the wrongs I...
Read moreManagement lack skills and poise, yelling at a customer in front of other customers. Not sure why Management would lock doors while customers are inside? She yells at customer, that she is calling police because of him being violent... I saw NO violent action what so ever, he just sat down with his 2 little girls as she goes off yelling at him to leave... He said "NO", finish their meal and left peacefully.. Service was sooo slow, it took 9 min to get my burger and fries.. I received an apology from the young kid at counter for the time.. Telling me that they are just slammed... Hmmm only 4 of us inside? Is that the reason for locking the doors? Is that a FIRE hazard locking customers inside? I'm going with VERY poor Management training.. Who ever trained the young girl "DID NOT" do a good job.. Locking customers inside to keep the flow down from coming in is "Hazardous / Illegal" while business is OPEN! The owner needs to be made aware of this... If you are slammed and can NOT get food out in a timely manner, DON'T lock your customers inside and lock others OUT! As customers come in, make them aware of the time delay, let them make the choice of waiting or going somewhere else. Nothing like asking to get the door unlocked so I can leave. Oh yeah, btw we are in a pandemic and not once did I see anyone clean any table with the people WHO WERE...
Read moreI placed an order through the BK app, and visited the BK location on 48th Street and Warner to pickup my food. I was greeted by a young man in the drive-thru who was not in the best of moods. I him know I was there to pick up my mobile order for "San Johnae", and he responded with "WHO!!??". I DO NOT appreciate being talked to or screamed at like a child. I responded to him with "San, S-A-N." He rudely told me to come to the window. I was NOT greeted when I arrived at the window. There was an African American man with dreadlocks who was about 6 feet tall wearing a headset for the drive-thru. He looked at me and continued to do other things. Another employee who was a woman and about 5'4" tall just looked at me and continued to walk with ice buckets in her hands and no gloves. When my food was finished the young man just held my food out of the window and still said no words to me. I do not appreciate being treated as if my business is not wanted. If this young man wants to continue working in service like he chose to, then he needs to reconsider his attitude and approach with guests. This is no way to treat people, and if BK is not the place he wants to be then he needs to find...
