Whether you’re starting your morning, catching up with a friend, or trying to emotionally recover from an auburn-haired Swiss boy who absolutely knew what he was doing, Cafe Mollie is your sanctuary.
Tucked into Camelback East like a minimalist dreamscape with fairy lights and desert-modern charm, this place has main character energy written all over it. One look at the matte black bike racks, the clean white walls adorned with desert murals, and the cozy interior that whispers “write your memoir here,” and I was sold.
The staff? Friendly in that “we know your regular order but won’t judge you if you cry a little while ordering it” kind of way. The coffee? Bold. Delicious. Exactly what you need to power through a day of pretending you’re fine. And don’t even get me started on the Banh Mi—it’s the culinary equivalent of being wrapped in a weighted blanket and told, “You deserve better.”
Whether you’re on your way to work, plotting your next life chapter, or dishing about your latest ex over an oat milk latte, Cafe Mollie is the place. 10/10 recommend—for the coffee, the ambiance, and the much-needed...
Read moreThought that this was an Asian coffeeshop but they definitely are not inclusive with their service. Especially the Asian girl barista (think she had bangs) was nice and talkative with all the white folks and was poker face and quiet when she called in my drink. The cashier (a white girl) was dismissive during my order, no hello, and didn’t even asked if I want my receipt, when I said thank you she just ignored me. Very disappointing experience.
Update: when I was called, it was only my drink and it wasn’t busy when my drink was called. Since it was no service I went out of my way to say “thank you” and the lady said “yea you’re welcome”. When it was other people and busier, she was nice to them and said your drink was ready and even small talked with them or let them know it will be a bit of a wait before their drink was ready. Mine completely dismissive during a non-busy time like no communication from them so I just kept turning my head to check if it becomes ready and it felt like just order and get your drink while everyone else were greeted, had small talked, even when...
Read moreLoved the aesthetic of the place and the cute decor. I wanted to like this place but we did not like our drinks. BUT, the banana pudding is good.
The viet coffees were extremely bold, strong, bitter and tbh, unpleasant. I tasted no balance of evaporated or condensed milk at all. Heavy cream could not even save the drinks. To me these drinks were not viet coffees at all.
The mango sticky rice matcha was not for me. I got a huge mouthful of the essence of sticky rice and then extreme sourness from the mango. Perfect amount of matcha though. Just wasn’t a drink for me. I asked the barista if I could get a different drink and she was kind enough to make me a new one. She seemed hesitant at first but I’m happy she was able to make me a new drink! I asked for a pandan matcha which was a bit better but the amount of matcha didn’t match the mango sticky rice I had. It was more milky. I would have loved the drink if there was more matcha powder.
A lot of people seem to like it here, I wanted to like it too but unfortunately it...
