To elaborate: I'm from Texas and I know people think it's only Tex-Mex there but I've had that and real Mexican food. When I moved to Arizona I was excited because people told me the Mexican food was great but I went to 4 places with 1000+ good reviews and each place was bland, white people Mexican food (I'm white, too, calm down). This place was a chance encounter while running errands but so delicious! Everything was perfect from the chips and salsa to the torta to the rice and beans. Alisa, our waitress and hostess was very patient with us and helpful whilst we helped each other make it through our order as I am not fluent in Spanish and her not in English, but we got it done! And she did not judge us one bit for not knowing Spanish, she embraced it. The food? Well words can’t explain the authenticity, it took us back to our Grandmothers cooking! I got 1 chicken street taco and my friend got 4 carne asada street tacos. Chicken is not part of the Tues special only beef and pork.
