Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Phoenix

I came into the store tonight as I have many other nights, I found your # 5 chicken sandwich and fries a quick meal and every single time I've walked into that store, nobody greets me, looks at me, acknowledges me, for at least 5-10 minutes EVERY time. Now tonight, I waited the usual 5-10 min without so much as a look, then the guy Alex came to the register, I thought to take my order, but literally looked right passed me to help someone who had trouble in the drive through, that had come inside, all that being said, I was finally helped and I ordered a #5 with fries, as usual and an extra sandwich, which we waited quite a while for, one of the sandwiches was too hot to eat and the other was almost cold and stiff, and here's the real issue, there were 11 fries in there if I'm being honest, I took a pic, my fiance ate two of the fries, so there were 13 to start with, I asked Alex was that really all the fries we were getting and if maybe he just wasn't paying attention and made a mistake, he assured me that it was indeed the right size of a regular fries and showed me with the fry scoop thing, I thought that he would offer more fries, considering my dismay, but no, just tried to convince me that this amount of fries was indeed the correct amount, and didn't offer to remake them or offer anything for them, as they were hard and cold, I felt that there should have been better customer service, instead I left a dissatisfied customer with no intention of returning, because the customer service is ALWAYS lacking and with my issues tonight, being of no concern to your employees, I don't feel like I was taken care of on any level. Therefore, I'm not going to return....

On my way home I decided to stop for some chicken tenders that I was craving and Church’s sounded good.

Unfortunately, this location as always was closed long before their posted closing time and the employees hid out of view in the back.

They even posted a sign on the drive thru call box to order at the window.

This is not a new occupancy and happens every time I try to stop by around 8 PM to 9 PM even though they have their closing time as 10 PM.

On several past occasions, the employees have been visible in the lobby and kitchen area, all just sitting around talking and ignoring customers in the drive thru.

I have come by during the day time before, but even then I find the quality of service to be POOR.

Almost always, I have to repeat my order numerous times because they can not get it right, then when I pick it up it is still not right but is far too much trouble to try and fix. Also find that my charges sometimes have been higher than what they should be for my order, especially when the food is poorly made and not to the level of other Church’s locations.

Until the owner/management get their act together, I suggest avoiding this location even if it means having to drive further to their Scottsdale or one of the other...

Do you ever want to go off the wagon of eating healthy healthy healthy? Well, I suspect that it's no sin to indulge in the freshest tasting deep-fried southern crunchy battered chicken anywhere on earth. The folks that work at this location are always always always super friendly and at the very top of their game. Their coleslaw is homemade and delicious. Even their mashed potatoes and gravy are comfort foods from long long ago. The fried chicken either bone in or boneless is amazing. This is a staple for our family when we want to have a very casual but delicious feast after a long hard days work. I do not recommend any of their sauces, they seem to be more chemical than Real. This is not a big deal to us because the delicious fresh southern fried chicken trumps the cheap sauce so we just buy ours from Safeway just up the street. The biscuits are savory and loved by everyone in our family. The corn on the cob is very over done and I don't recommend it. The macaroni and cheese is five star. The kids and the adults will love it. Pulling in is very easy but pulling out, just take your time and wait for it. Traffic is busy at this location.
