I wanted to share an experience I had this afternoon at the desert ridge Dave & busters. I have taken my son to this location many, many times, I’ve never had a negative experience until today. My husband and I purchased a platinum winter season pass for my son. It sounded like great deal, I still feel it’s a great deal, I just wish management would ensure that all the employees know exactly how the passes work. When we purchased the pass we were told that we needed the QR code to activate the pass initially, but were never told we needed the QR code every time we went in to use it to activate the pass. We were told that the pass was linked to my name and we just needed to go to the front desk and activate the pass with the name associated with the pass, that way my son could use it if I wasn’t present. We went in to use it this evening, there weren’t any employees at the front desk when we walked in and there was a sign to go upstairs to the bar to activate passes and power cards etc. when we walked up to the bar I asked to activate the pass and they asked me for the QR code that I didn’t have, I explained the situation to them that I was never told I needed to save the QR code, the bartenders said they would ask their manager about what could be done. He comes over and is completely useless, just says there’s nothing he can do, won’t do anything, offers absolutely no help. The season pass was $150, I expressed my frustration and searched for a receipt in my wallet to prove we had paid for the platinum pass, the manager stated that it didn’t matter even if I had the receipt that there’s nothing he could/was willing to do without the QR code. There was no accountability on his part that his employees weren’t trained properly or just misunderstood how the pass worked. Frustrated I decided to just leave, as I was leaving I noticed there were a couple of people at the front desk, so I decided to speak to the young man at the front desk before I left and thank goodness I did! The young man at the front desk, Allen, was very kind, attentive and very helpful! The only reason I’m even leaving 3 stars is bc of Allen and another young lady that actually helped me call a helpline and they were able to resend the QR code to my email, so we could continue to use our season pass! Thank you so much Allen for all your help! As for the manager, I feel he should have had the knowledge to assist me, maybe he did, and just didn’t care. The fact that the stores do not have access to the QR codes or any proof that you paid for the season pass is a...
Read moreSpent our 8th annual Christmas party here. I went to the bathroom and was met by a man disguised as a woman. I made a comment that he was in the wrong bathroom followed by a verbal exchange. Went back to the party room and was watched like a hawk by a manager and our party host during our award ceremony. After our award ceremony concluded the manager asked a member of our party to leave. This member had zero interaction with the transgender. I went and spoke to the manager and he said that we had to leave because the transgender felt threatened and uncomfortable. We were a party of 125 people. The manager never asked to hear our side of the story or investigate the situation whatsoever. No proof, no explanation, nothing. Our party of 125 was then “kicked out” it took us a bit to vacate and in the meantime our guests couldn’t redeem their drink vouchers, and the children could not redeem their points on their play cards. When the manager told us to leave in the middle of our Christmas celebration we let him know that our deposit would suffice as final payment. He said if that’s what you wanna do, ok. There was absolutely zero compassion, zero professionalism, and zero fairness. As a woman trying to use a woman’s bathroom I should have the freedom to not have a man in the bathroom as me at the same time. I should have the freedom of speech to let him know he is in the wrong bathroom. No one wanted to hear our side of the story. Security had this man and his family locked in another party room. Security was everywhere. My character was challenged and I was extremely angry. Once we finally left the premises security followed us out with this group and there was an altercation in the parking lot. We were taunted by security. Further reports will be made but please be aware of the fairness of this. We will never ever be returning to any Dave & Busters location and several videos will be shared to...
Read moreI made a reservation on 11/10/23 for 730pm for my husband's birthday under his name. Things didn't seem too off even though they sat us at booths with tablecloths folded at he middle of the table. There was a large group at a table in the middle of the room that was seated together, we did gripe a little as to why they were seated together but we had to separate --nothing too major, right? About an hour in and speaking to two servers we still hadn't had drinks or our order taken. We had gotten some drinks from the bar, and my husband went to ask for a manager. The manager or night shift supervisor goes to the large group asking what was wrong before we get his attention and tell him we called for him. Before investigating anything, he tries to tell us we can't sit there. He's very confused as now we have to explain how we ended up there but also want answers as to why we haven't been served, while keeping our irritation to a minimum because now we realize that our reservation was disregarded, we were sat in an area reserved for an event the following day, and being told we can't be there as if we were hoodlums. Obviously if we were trying to get away with something we wouldn't be calling for a manager. My husband is retired Army, he's a Regional manager with Arizona DCCS, and a respected competition instructor with one of the local Brazilian Jiujitsu Academies. We literally invited other black belts and instructors for a night of safe, clean fun. I don't see how a group in their 30's and 40's can be hoodlum material. Literally the most PROFESSIONAL one working there was the individual with a tattoo'd face. We appreciate the arcade cards, that did help smooth things. Thanks. We might consider going again but definitely no more birthdays or outings with...
