Dodey's North — Restaurant in Phoenix

If I'm really honest, we used to sneak into this joint when I was 17. That was 1978. It fun back then and I was pleasantly surprised as it still is today. Back then the dance floor was packed and it was more of a mini-nightclub. Nowadays it's more of laid-back, friendly neighborhood bar. After moving back to Phoenix a few years ago, I once again had to see how the ol' watering hole was doing. In 5 minutes😍, it quickly seemed to beat out any bar I ventured into in my entire 5 YEAR stay in California🤐! I was immediately on a first name basis with a few regulars and the bartender was top-notch! Although some may refer to it today as a "dive" bar, it might be the nicest "dive" bar I 've been in: -super friendly & gorgeous bartenders -awesome sound system, TV's everywhere for games, and they have alot of classic rock for us geizers to pick from on the jukebox!✌️ -atleast 3 pool tables, with weekly tournaments and leagues -trivia -darts -"giant" jenga -great selection of nearly every adult beverage you can think of. Daily drink specials, often 50% off. Food is available, but the bartenders will order Streets of New York for you, right next door. Yes, Dodey is so successful, I've been trying to talk her into expanding her internet presence with a photoshoot and some ads, but she says she really doesn't need it! And can only agree with...

I loved this place and would come here weekly. Came today because the husband and I had a day off together and wanted to play a game of pool and relax before grocery shopping. I spent $20 in the touch tunes app and my first song was skipped within the first 15 seconds because apparently metal rock is not allowed there. I’ve played that song along with a mixture of songs every time I go there. I never play skip and play next. I know it’s silly but the only reason the bartender could explain was owner “Mark” refused to allow my song to be played. Bartender claimed the owner was a camera watcher and heard my song play and called her to skip it. Within 15 seconds mind you. Talk about discrimination. Yes minimal but that’s the last play we will ever be here and I will no longer refer anyone to this...

If I could give this bar less stars, I would. The bartender is less than warm and inviting and Doesnt keep track of anything very well. Ive been here when the bar is empty and it takes forever to get a drink. The people that frequent here are drug dealers and burn outs. In the three times Ive been here, Ive always been offered hard drugs. From experience, the people that come here are also violent. It seems like a great place, in a great location, but I just cant recommend it. There arent a lot of places that I would say I wouldnt go to ever again, but this is certainly...
