Great local dive bar! My husband and I just moved to the area and decided to stop in one Saturday night. We were warmly and promptly greeted by Maggie, the bartender. She served us right away and was a great conversationalist! We enjoyed playing music on the TouchTunes Jukebox, while watching one of the many TV’s they had. They also have a pool table and a beautiful fireplace for those cool Winter nights. All of the other patrons were friendly and we enjoyed getting to know the local’s in our new area. I’m so confused by the few people who posted about the bartender(s) giving them an attitude and refusing to serve them. Unless you were extremely rude to them or already overly intoxicated, there is no way that would happen. We’ve met the owners of the bar, as they will stop in here and there and these folks are some of the kindest and friendliest people we have ever met in Phoenix and we have lived here 40 plus years. Eddie’s Tavern is a small and quant spot with great people and very reasonable prices, even on top shelf drinks. They have several beers on tap and just about any bottle of beer you could want and they’re always ICE COLD! While they don’t have a kitchen per say, they do have some light snacks and outside food is always allowed, should you choose to bring it in. Stop in and see why people have loved this bar since the 1950’s! We’re so...
Read moreHey, it's a dive bar. But it's not bad, the patrons are friendly, the staff are friendly and they have some good happy hour drink specials. Good place to unwind and have a few drinks with your mates without paying the college-crowd prices, of course the clientele is a bit older, but with maturity comes sensibility and no bullshit. Again, not a bad place, but the parking can be horrendous! Almost 4 stars, but not quite there. Still one of the best dive bars I've hit on the past few years, and one that I'll return to again and again. 3.5 out of 5...
