Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Phoenix

The very worst experience I've ever had at this location. The latest manager Michael Ina made my bagel horrible. There's literally no cream cheese on it and runny tomatoes. What a manager lol. I took it back and because I didn't like it and wanted it made over. She asked me not to come back to the store. I can't believe such rotten customer service. Nicest location in our neighborhood to go to where we can meet with friends. Now my friends don't want to go there anymore until she is gone. How can Einstein's allow this kind of behavior from someone they employ? I wish I could give ninety negative stars! Everything WAS usually fine. Another time she made my bagel with literally no cream cheese on it where you can see the bagel through the cream cheese. I wrote a bad review to Einstein's. The next time I came in and she gave me an extra cup (after a rude comment) to put on more cream cheese and wanted to charge me for it just to latter hover over me to write a positive review for her. But today unfortunately my last time, I was hoping she would be gone by now. She was yelling at an employee and even the maintenance man had to tell her to take it easy on the other young girl in front of everyone. Isn't there ANYONE else that you can get Einstein's? Such a nice location shouldn't be so hard up to put anyone in it....

We love coming here for breakfast. The sandwiches are always good and made right then, no lamp warming food here. The coffee is always good and I like the flavored coffee they'll put out, which changes periodically.

The bagel bins are normally filled but if you happen to come just after a rush you might not find the bagel you want. We've tried several flavors of bagels and all are good. The schmear can be a bit heavy handed but that's an easy fix by either requesting it light or having it on the side.

I love that you can get many of the bagels "thintastic" meaning a thinner bagel with fewer carbs but still get the bagel taste and feel.

Again if the restaurant has been busy it might need a floor sweep but it always gets done.

The staff has always been friendly and that's great for our very early morning visits! If you ever experience a problem be sure to chat with Matthew who is the manager. He'll make it right.

I've also had lunch sandwiches and those too are tasty with a variety to choose from. The bagel dog however might be my all time favorite! You hand to ask them for it, it's not on the menu and they run out quickly,!

Give Einstein's a try if you're looking for something a little different for...

Original review; May 2020; Placed an order in the App, did exactly what what app said, park in front of store with hazard lights/flashing lights on, gave truck description and waited over 30 minutes! Even called to remind them and then proceeded to wait another 10 minutes. Eventually had to go in to get food. They blamed it blame it on being busy, if that was the case when I called you could have told me! They were extremely rude and nonchalant about other people's time. So now I'm left with 30-40 minute old breakfast sandwiches that I spent $25 on!!!

Review Update 10 months later; March 2021. 5 stars. Decided to try again with this location because they are the closest to my house, and the service was superb. The new employees obviously different from the last time I was here......... Are absolutely amazing, friendly quick and the food was delicious. What I'm used to with Einstein. Also when I had issues last time corporate did a good job with following up with me so kudos Einstein as a company as a whole for making sure you guys keep the amazing customer service.
