I wrote a raving review for this company previously. But it turned out to be the worst experience of my life!!! I would not do business with this company, nor would I recommend them to anyone else. Quite the contrary, STAY AWAY from this company. They are very unprofessional, nontransparent, rude, and deceptive. After having a horrible experience at one location, I went to a second location (Bell Rd.) hoping to complete a purchase I thought I really wanted. They will promise you the world and attach documents to your signed documents once they get you to agree to a purchase. The location on Thomas Rd. the salesperson, who had been so friendly and helpful prior to my purchase turned into someone else when the time came for me to buy. The salesperson told me I could have my furniture delivered on a Monday. After we did all the paper work and I swiped my credit card, the salesperson told me the furniture was not in stock and he had no idea when it would be!!!! When I asked him to reverse the transaction he told me the Corporate office was closed and there was nothing he could do until the next day. He was short, rude, and dismissive. The next day I went to another location to see if they had the bedroom set I was trying to purchase. I explained to the manager at the Bell Rd. location my experience the night before. Looking back, I think I got played twice. The manager acted as if he were contacting corporate to get my refund, while the salesperson worked on me to save the sale and have this location get the credit. They seemed so legit. But looking back I have no idea who he was talking to on the phone. They promised I could receive the furniture in 2 weeks. So I set it up. Did the paperwork had them use last night's credit card swipe and just transfer it to this location. After completing the paperwork with this salesperson, he took the paperwork up to the counter where the manager inputted the information in the computer, AND THEN attached an additional paper to my copies that had a different delivery date and also stated no refunds or cancellation without a restocking fee of 40% of the total purchase price!!!! Two weeks went by and I stopped in to see how things were going. The manager stated, we told you it could be two weeks past the two week time frame that I was originally told. When it begin to appear as if , again these people were not keeping their word, I requested to cancel. At that time the manager told me I could not. That it is stated in the paperwork that there are no cancellations. I was livid. I took my partner with me to have this discussion. The manager, told him and I quote, "You need to stand down!! Stand down, I told her there was no refunds or cancellations!! So back up!!" Really??? The Manager is talking to customers this way?? I was DONE!! I tried calling corporate, and was told the owner was not in and there was no contact information to reach him. Then I got a call from that same manager telling me the furniture was in, all but one piece. That I needed to come down, pay the balance, and get a delivery date set up. It was after that call that, when my partner called to set up a time to come in , that the Manager killed the deal with the way he spoke to my partner. I was no longer willing to do any business with this company. The next call I got was from the salesperson who I spoke with originally, that I hadn't seen in the last two visits to the store. He said he didnt understand what had happened. He said my furniture was in, that all the pieces were in stock and that he left a memo at the store since it was his day off. Which later changed to "I was on vacation." When this salesperson called me he said he just got off the phone with the owner.I requested a call from the owner and about minutes later, I received a call from a Regional Manager. (not the owner). Long story longer, I did get my money back but he was a nightmare of an experience. Nevertheless, had the service at Mega Furniture not been so horrible I never would have had the extraordinary experience I had with...
Read moreI went with my mother to buy a couch. We were looking for a sectional to replace her old one. This was the end of May when we went to check out their "Memorial Day" sale. A man named Billy greeted us and showed us a sectional for a very reasonable price that my mom loved. He also advised it was currently not in house and was being shipped so we wouldn't get it until the first or second week in June. Since my mom loved the couch I told her we should just get it and that a few weeks wasn't an unreasonable amount of time to wait. We paid over $700 for the couch, signed the contract and left (BAD BAD DECISION ON OUR PART!). June 20th came around and no couch so my mother called and they advised July 23rd is when we should get it. Really upset but understanding the Coronavirus has delayed it, we agreed to wait until July 23rd. Here it is END OF JULY and we are getting the Run around about a couch that has been paid for in FULL already and was suppose to be here in early JUNE! We are NOW being told they have NO paperwork on this couch and NO PROOF of payment or that we even ordered it, when my mom has emails from the company, an invoice and a signed contract plus a charge from MEGA FURNITURE for over $700!! To quiet my mom Billy told my mom Aug. 23rd is when we would receive it and very rudely stated "WE DON'T HAVE YOUR COUCH AND YOU CAN'T GET A REFUND!" So which is it Billy?? You don't have proof of our order, or you do and we will receive it Aug. 23rd?? The contract we signed clearly states 4-8 weeks which is why we agreed to wait until End of July which would be 8 weeks but now being given the run around is EXTREMELY aggravating and frustrating. Needless to say they have been very unprofessional and we are YET to receive a couch we paid for IN FULL back in May. I am VERY disappointed and would NOT recommend this Store AT ALL!!!! Still waiting on a $700+ couch we paid for...
Read moreThis is how my day started my Mother and I were shopping for furniture and we decided to stop by the Mega Furniture-metro center. I had my 5 year old daughter with me and mind you, she is a very polite, well behaved 5 year old. We were greeted by the store manager and he seemed very nice and passed us on to one of the sales people and her name was Braulia. This lady was very rude from the beginning. She had attitude everytime we asked her a question and got mad because I told her I had a budget on what I was looking to spend on couches. What completely made me uncomfortable was I had given my 5 year old one of the shiny blue balloons they had on the table because she's 5 let the little girl have the balloon. Yes, I probably should have asked if my daughter could have the balloon. Anyways, I called Braulia over because I was going to purchase one of the couches. This lady rushed to my daughter and snatched the balloon out my daughters hands and got loud with us and said it was for the sale on the couch that I was going to buy. My daughter was holding back her tears. At the moment I felt really uncomfortable dropping money on a place that is more concerned about a 25 cent balloon, because she did not need to react that way especially towards my 5 year old so we left. My mom suggested we go to a different Mega Furniture and see if they had the same couch I was going to purchase. This was very inconvenient due to the fact we went to a location that is further away. We went to the Mega furniture on 42nd and Bell and I'm so glad I did. Freddie was our sales person and he was so helpful and polite. I had told him everything that happened and he apologized over and over again for our experience at the metro location and he even told my 5 year old she can have a balloon anytime they have them. Thank...
