Read moreWe were so dang hungry after my husband's doc appointment, and didn't want fast food. Found this place and man oh man! Hubby likes to call himself a Biscuits & Gravy Connoisseur haha and I love Eggs Benedict (I see it on a menu, I'm going to order it and critique it!) so it was only appropriate that's what we ordered. Did not disappoint for sure! Biscuits & Gravy were perfect! Came with a side of potatoes that were seasoned just right, and fluffy eggs that werent hard, cold or flat like other places because they were cooked first and sat under the warmer. The Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict were fantastic. The sauce was smooth and creamy, the smoked salmon was a wonderful compliment to the tomato slices and added avocado. The toasted ciabetta was still crunchy on the outside and not soggy! Lightly tossed lemon dressing greens and wow! It's not often that I CANT finish Eggs Benedict, but this was SO filling that I just wasn't able to! The sharable bacon plate was to die for! Who doesn't love maple syrup drizzled over hardwood smoked bacon with hints of Cheyenne pepper?! It was refreshing to see a menu that had a plethora of healthy food options, as well as fresh squeezed juices. The Purple Haze drink was a perfect compliment to the meal, and it was a great surprise to see that they had oatmilk creamer for my coffee. It's a rare find it seems that restaurants have dairy free creamer. Which is unfortunate since there are those who can't do a lot or any dairy. I applaud First Watch for making sure to have these kinds of "small but not" commodities on hand. The atmosphere was pleasant. Lots of families, but not loud or overly noisy. This restaurant is a really great place for a nice, sit down, cup of coffee in hand and long talks over brunch. Definitely would recommend it and FOR...
Read moreGreat service, got a table right away surprisingly at 1045 am. The booths were a style I had never seen before. Seemed like store might have had a recent remodel. Very cozy and farmhouse with masculine energy. I got the trifecta and my boyfriend got the traditional breakfast. Good quality food, and hot. The trifecta comes with eggs, choice of meat and choice of bread. I got poached eggs, pork sausage (1 link) and pancake. I got the new cinnamon chip pancake and it was really good. Had a crunch to it. Kinda reminded me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I would get it again. His traditional breakfast is two eggs, choice of meat, potatoes and toast. He added grits on the side. The potatoes are always delicious and the grits are really really good. We both got their fresh squeezed juices. I got the kale tonic and he got the morning meditation. They already hit the spot and are both delicious. The kale tonic is a green drink but it’s more fruit forward than bitter from kale. It’s fresh and light. The morning meditation has beet juice but it’s not overpowering. It has an earthy taste to juice but ginger and Tumeric are nice to balance flavors. Has more of a punch than mine but I preferred my kale tonic. The food is pretty consistent in the city no matter which location you go to. It’s one of my favorite breakfast places. One of my favorite items is the AM chia seed bowls. I think their avocado toast is...
