I think 5 star ratings are WAY overused. Most places should have 4 or less and only 5 stars for the true standouts. So yes I rated it 5 starts because this is the best fast casual place I’ve tasted. We live in Vegas and anytime I am in north PHX this is a must stop! I usually prefer proper sit down restaurants but the fact is the food here can’t be beat! I’ve been here a dozen or more times and it is always consistently great! I usually do the chicken tenders, they are so crunch on the outside while the inside remains moist. Too many places the chicken dries out, you won’t have that here! Today was the first time I got the pizza. I’m not a ā€œpizza guyā€ but I wanted to try it as it is what they are known for and I’ve heard others talk about how good it is. I agree it was a VERY good pizza (Detroit style) crust was crunchy with a great proportion of sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. This probably sounds like a paid review… to that I can only say I wish it was! I’d request payment by them opening a location in Henderson NV so I could eat here more than just a couple times a year!!!! But until then I’ll just brag about them to anyone I know that will be in this area. Sorry about the photo. I eat the food before I review it. :-)

I am rating this only on the wings I ordered. I've had pizza here and it is not too bad - I should have stuck with pizza! But went out on a limb to try the wings. Before I say anything, I want to rave about their service. Good people. At the same time, I've got to give my honest opinion on their wings. I had the 6 piece wings that cost a whopping $11.50 + tax + tip. These had to be the smallest, skinniest wings I've every had. I honestly thought they were going to be the entire wing/drum at that cost. The size was about the size of my index finger. Their thinkness about the same with little meat. I will say that they put 8 wings on my plate instead of the ordered 6 - I'm guessing they also thought they were small. Almost forgot -> I thought at that price, they would have some fries - NOPE. I won't go here for wings in the future. I'll stick to the pizza.

The outdoor seating was crowded when I made my pickup. The servers looked very busy. I wasn't quite sure what to do once I got inside to pick up my order but figured it out. The employees were very friendly and seemed to know of my order and handed it to me with no wait. Everyone was hustling behind the counter. I ordered the Detroit style, Pepperoni 4 Corner Pieces ($18). It didn't look exactly like the pictures on their site but only because the pepperoni was kind of in random piles but I think that's intentional. I did rearrange some of it before eating. I thought it was very good. It had a great taste. I loved the cupped, slightly burned pepperoni slices. It was a good mix of sauce and cheese and I really loved the caramelized, crunchy cheese on the edges. I would recommend it. Definitely worth a try.

Straight to the point....Just go to Jet's.

Native Detroiter here. I'd like to apologize to everyone in advance that this is not the greatest representation of what Detroit pizza is and can be, especially at this price point. I don't normally leave reviews, but I felt compelled after my recent experience.

Placed an order for a pizza at 2:45pm to be ready at 5:30pm. I was notified that the pizza was ready at 5pm, when I was still unable to get to the location until 5:30. To their credit, I'd rather my pizza be early than late, thus not not the worst thing, I'd rather my $30 pizza not sit for longer than it has to. Strike one.

Ordered a pizza and requested extra sauce on it. I get the pizza and see they placed some extra "sauce" in a cup. Not exactly what I requested, but fair enough. I open it up, to it's low viscosity appearance, to discover it's their buffalo wing sauce, not actually the pizza sauce. It's a decent sauce, but not what I ordered, let alone the intent behind my request. Strike two.

The pizza itself is....fine, but again, nowhere near the price they are charging. There is nothing exceptional or special about it. If you want a higher-end pie, go to Spinatos or Jets. Better quality and more unique flavor. Strike three.

Order a Jets Deep Dish with Turbo Crust, then order your Flyby however you want....eat the two side by side and you tell me which pizza is better and better value. Don't worry, I'll wait.

Fox Restaurants...you can be better. I know what you are capable of, and I'm...

I'll start by saying that I am a HUGE fan of the Fly Bye at the Yard - I've gotten their Detroit style pizzas to go there numerous times and have never had a bad experience. The pizza there has always been delicious with perfectly crispy, Detroit-style crust and flavorful toppings. So, when we heard that another Fly Bye was opening much closer to us at Desert Ridge, we were stoked! Unfortunately, our first visit here was a pretty big disappointment. The whole appeal of this place is their crisp and caramelized Detroit-style crust, and it just did not hit the mark on our first visit to this new location. The pizza was undercooked with soft and doughy crust, and the toppings were hardly anything to write home about. Also, they switched up the pricing model here with 2 different sizes of pizzas, which we did not like as it made it feel like our meal for 2 was more expensive than the other location due to how we had to order enough pizza for both of us. We also tried one of their cookies, which literally tasted like a pizza - it was almost as if there was oregano in the cookie dough, and then they baked their cookies in the same oven with the pizzas...it was hardly palatable. We hope that this experience was simply a function of how new this location is and training new chefs - we'll come back in a bit to see if they've tied up the loose ends. If there aren't significant improvements, we'll be saying "Bye" to this "Fly...
